Experiences of coming off the pill??

Just wondering what people's experiences of coming off the pill have been?

I've been taking Cerazette for the past 3-4 years and stopped on Monday. There have been times where I was late taking it, even if I was a couple of hours within the 12 hour window I'd have bleeding. Within the window it'd be some light spotting for a day or two. Outside of the window (but within 24 hours) and I'd have light bleeding that day for 4-5 days. I haven't taken one since Sunday and haven't had a single spot of bleeding but have had cramps a couple of times today. So I'm confused! This doesn't fit how my body has reacted in the past.

Hello, I came off cerazette in Nov ( taking it for 2yrs) and it took 6 wks to get my period. Don't panic, I think it takes a while. I was poas constantly during those 6 wks!!!

Thanks for the reassurance. I've had a bit of cramping and spotting today so it's probably starting.

Oh sorry, I'm getting carried away with all the acronyms! It's peeing on a stick (poas), I thought I was pregnant and that's why period taking so long. It wasn't though on fifth cycle of trying to conceive (TTC) fingers crossed (fx) for this month :) hope your cramping comes to something soon, its frustrating being in limbo.

I came off 12th April. I had a light bleed for a few hours 7 days later and then I'm still waiting for period. I ovulated 14 days after 1st day of bleed so that kind of gives me an idea when I might get a period. Try ov sticks so you can see if and when you ov. It made me feel a bit more clued up on what was going on with my body!

Came off Cerazette after Christmas. Periods back to normal pretty much immediately and clockword 28day cycle. Not BFP yet though. A little frustrated but am famously impatient. Tried POAS, not POAS, conception vitamins, DTD as much as possible, forgetting about it (yeah, right, who can do that?!) but no luck yet. Was hoping to have due date before my 40th bday but that's not going to happen now!

Ranchgirl iI'm also impatient! I'll be interested to see if my cycle is 28 days.

Ahh I see, I'm not used to all the acronyms yet! Where's the best (and cheapest) place to get the ovulation tests? How do they work? Keep testing until you see you're ovulating?

Hi guys anyone been on lostrein 20 pill? Last pill tomorrow and v keen to just fall straight away v scared it might take months to fall, I've got no patience at all and I'm not sure I'll be any good on a roller coast of emotion!

i came off the pill after 11 years a month ago, and have felt so ill since, really hoping it won't last much longer. infact it was searching the internet for pill withdrawal symptoms that led me to this site and the realisation that there is a lot more to it than just having unprotected sex, like we are all led to believe!
