ChandlersFarang · 04/06/2014 17:46

Hi angelaham, good luck and welcome to the fun bus!! Smile thanks Dr Stepaway et al for the crossed fingers too! I love the fact the bus is slowly mutating into a charter flight over here to Thailand... Ha ha! Although from the SYMPTOMS I'm reading here it sounds like a few of you may well not be needing tickets... Very exciting!! Kitty, that itchy neck thing sounds very promising indeed!! Grin

KittyVonCatsington · 04/06/2014 18:14

The fact that I am only 5dpo is not lost on me though Confused
However, today every time I stood at the classroom door welcoming the kids in and out, I kept doing checky rubs on the edge of the door it was so itchy!

Hi angelaham! Can you post your stats to add you to our passenger list?
It will be laid out like:

angelaham, [age], TTC # [number child], Cycle # [number-in your case 1!] BFP Due [day you expect AF to appear and there test]

angelaham · 04/06/2014 18:23

angelaham age 34 no children yet, cycle 1 BFP 17 june

My odd pregnancy symptom.... Dodgy asthma.

Been off all asthma meds since I was a teenager then I was put back on them when pregnant with DD as early as my initial GP appointment at 6 weeks or so.
My asthma has been really playing up again this last week or so for the first time since having DD!

Kitty, loving your symptom. I think my asthma problems probably started that soon after ov. So hopefully its a really good sign for you and parts of our bodies are just REALLY sensitive to pregnancy hormones

KittyVonCatsington · 04/06/2014 18:30

I hope so MrsB Grin Thing is, I remember googling lots when it first happened and could only find the rash I had, on pregnant women's faces, rarely considered itchy, usually in their third trimester! I must be unique Hmm

Thanks angela!!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 04/06/2014 18:50

Can i add hot flushes to my symptoms please? Oh lord this is sounding more menopausal by the moment isn't it Sad

TheGrandHighWitch · 04/06/2014 18:59

Ooh, not necessarily MrsExtraOrdinary. I was just thinking about five minutes ago that I keep feeling hot all of a sudden. I'm only 29 with admittedly increasing grey hair so surely much too young for menopause. No, we are surely pg definitely.

Re the itchiness, a relative had itchy hands when pg with her youngest, maybe your back is due to the same thing KittyVonCatsington.

Treaclepie19 · 04/06/2014 19:01

The tight chest is a good sign (I had to go back on an inhaler) and so is hot flushes (wondered why I was constantly sweating). Sounds good ladies!

spinningirl10 · 04/06/2014 19:11

Ooh lots of good symptoms ladies, fx for some bfp's very soonGrin

Does anyone take cough medicine to improve ewcm and has it made a difference? Is there a particular one to get?

Phryn · 04/06/2014 19:18

Hello ladies, can I join the bus?

I'm Phryn, 32, TTC #1, Cycle #3 BFP Due 28th June although Lord only knows when AF will appear this month as my last three cycles have been 33 days, 29 days then 40 days in length Confused. The last one was a bit of a headfudge as I was relatively certain I'd ovulated, but had 24 days from what I thought was ovulation to period. I came off Cilest in Jan (having been on for about 15 years) so I guess my body is still getting used to cycling without the extra hormones.

All the best to everyone, especially those trying to manage the dratted 2ww!

Viperama · 04/06/2014 19:18

Ahhhhhhh MrsBeebeebee I've only been able to look at our thread now! super happy for you! woohoo!

Just reading back on rest of today's action, in the words of the terminator, I'll be back...

MrsGingerbread · 04/06/2014 19:21

Hello!

Temperature jumped up today, which bodes well for my first ovulation after my miscarriage. :) It also means that our first dtd last night was nicely timed. Not hopeful for this month really, but just hoping that everything is starting to get back to normal.

For the odd symptoms list - my Mum knew she was pregnant with me before she was late because her contact lenses kept falling out. The female body is definitely a weird and wonderful thing!

TheGrandHighWitch · 04/06/2014 19:35

I did spinningirl10. Although it didn't appear to help at all this month it has done before. You need to look for an expectorant (chesty coughs) type of medicine. It should contain an ingredient called guaifenesin which is what helps the cm.

Interesting to hear about the tight chest though. I don't suffer from asthma but I have been more breathless while walking. I'm not a slim person (by any means) but it seems to have suddenly gotten harder for me to do the same amount of exercise than it was a few weeks ago.

Generally speaking I am starting to feel like I expect a BFP soon. Of course, the fact I ovulated later than the midpoint of my cycle puts my test days closer to the day AF is due anyway. Not that that has stopped me from starting to use my IC tests anyway...

Viperama · 04/06/2014 19:36

You ladies are really making me laugh today, you're all ace.

So I saw fertility expert gp. She said

  1. Don't DTD everyday on high fertility, every other is enough and it takes sperm 2-3 days to mature, if it's too young it's not good if it's the one that breaks through. So quality not quantity.
  2. On peak obvs go for it
Still mulling that feedback over, we DTD a lot this month oooops

It's CD 28 for me so she packed me off to have my 4 bloods tested right away. I have a 'receptacle' for dp's sperm. Can't believe he has to choke the chicken then race it to the lab within the hour. Poor chappy. She's counting 6 months from our mc earlier this year, so with tests now, 6 months will be July and we'll be good to go.

Of course I'm doing all this to help me get a BFP at our POAS Partay on Friday!

gennibugs · 04/06/2014 19:39

I'm loving the symptoms chat - I've sworn I won't symptom spot this month but just know I will come 1dpo putting every twinge down to ttc Smile

I've got a really good gut feeling about a lot of you this month..

gennibugs · 04/06/2014 19:43

viperama that is really interesting re high/peak. I wonder if that's where we are going wrong. We always seem to dtd like mad on high days then come peak we are both fed up and exhausted.

All sounds promising but hopefully you won't need to even do the tests etc Smile

gennibugs · 04/06/2014 19:44

Ps "choke the chicken" made me laugh out loud on the train Grin

KittyVonCatsington · 04/06/2014 19:59

Hi Phryn ! Plenty of crazy cycle ladies on this bus to keep you company-me included Grin

Let's cheer on Viper 's DH, he can do it Grin

PickledPorcupine · 04/06/2014 20:00

Choke the chicken made me laugh.

I can't stop symptom spotting, it's driving me crazy! DH doesn't want to test until next weekend!

jdear · 04/06/2014 20:18

Getting some good vibes for a lot of people this month already!

Right, I'm on cd6 and AF is just about finished. Trying to decide what approach to take to dtd this month. Last month we did it every few days til i got ewcm (sorry tmi) then everyday until I think it was the day I ovulated....after that we didnt dtd for a week for various reasons so may have stopped too early!

Thinking every other day for the whole month? Suggestions welcome? Not opk-ing or temping just yet, just ov symptom spotting to guide us!

spinningirl10 · 04/06/2014 20:36

Thanks grandwitch....I might give it a tryGrin

MrsBeeBeeBee · 04/06/2014 20:53

With regards to timing of DTD I shall give my info.
Apologees if TMI, but I know some people find this interesting! Haha.

DTD: cd 8, 10, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19.
Positive opk: cd16 so counted ovulation as cd17
BFP: cd 31! Thanks

KittyVonCatsington · 04/06/2014 20:56

Please don't do every other day for the whole month jdear I did that back in January from CD8 to CD26 due to no positive OPKs. All I got was thrush and a loathing of sex. Grin

I know I sound like a bloody bbt temp evangelist currently, but it is so nice knowing I've ovulated for sure, so can stop DTD so much.

So basically, go for every other day but I would also recommend temping so you don't have to do it longer than you need to Smile

xBlueberry88x · 04/06/2014 21:16

God I dont think I could do it every day if I tried lol

We dtd quite a lot anyway, although dp seems to be pretty into it this week I wonder if hes realised this is my fertile week with out me telling him. I dont normally get offered sex every day haha.

Look like I will have various scans at my gynae appointment kinda scared now not long to wait.

Sorry I havent read back its hard on the mobile
