Evening ladies!

Treacle-I was told the exact same thing by my GP and lovely ladies at the EPU. My LP is 10/11 days so more than yours, but was also worrying about the cause of the early mc so enquired again and the fact that we managed to 'fertilise' (their words) there is no problem yet in their eyes and i suppose I can sort of see their point though.

Through my talking about early mc with some friends, it turns out in Feb/March there were four of us who got pregnant. Only one has stayed that way Sad
I have done a lot of reading and read some of the NUJM study and they say that generally, the LP itself isn't an issue-if the pregnancy is viable, the progesterone will continue to be produced and keep the pregnancy going. I hope that makes you feel a little bit better. I know it calmed me down. hasn't stopped me buying baby asprin in case I get upduffed

Grand-high temp still sounds positive. Still pissed off my new bbt thermometer died this morning!

Blueberry- it sounds like your body is trying to ovulate. Maybe it's finally learning what to do My two anovs had no pain/symptoms bar bloating.

Nordic-glad you are planning a holiday, let us know what you decide!

twoweek and poco - counting on you for some more BFPs! Do we have the record for most BFPs before the bus actually set off??!!

FloweryBoots · 02/06/2014 18:06

Treacle, that's a bit pants to put it mildly. Might be right medically speaking, but doesn't sound like they were very sympathetic to what you're going thorugh. The way you get told stuff like this can make all the difference!

CD20 here and DH getting home tonight after 4 days away. Given my cycles are still somewhat variable (to put it mildly) after no. 2 and stll breastfeeding, I guess it's still worth gearing up for some SWI tonight. And I now have conceive plus instead of spermiciadal lube!! Not holding my breath for this month (well clearly I will be, what I mean is I shouldn't!).

Treaclepie19 · 02/06/2014 18:45

Thanks kitty that does make me feel better. It's all I wanted to know really!
I did a pregnancy test today to see if the hormones are gone and they aren't :(
I agree flowery :/ stupid people.

freneticfox · 02/06/2014 19:14

Tomorrow is the latest I'd expect my period, would it be pointless to test first thing in the morning or should I wait and see if AF arrives during the day and if not test on Weds morn?

Argh.

cavamonster · 02/06/2014 19:16

Evening Ladies, well i have completely failed in my relaxed approached to testing this month and after my IC negative yesterday, I bought a boots early response one today and it gave me a not pg line in the test circle and blank in the control - which would suggest it didnt work but the cramps etc I am getting now I know i'm not. After a very regular 28 days my whole life, last cycle was a 35 day one this one seems though its going to be late as well - just adds to the cruelty of not being pg.

I am so convinced i'm out, i have poured myself a small wine tonight. Feeling very sorry for myself tonight. 3 and a half years of this - I am fed up!!

treacle its rotten when doctors fob you off like that, I ended up pestering mine for specific tests and checks etc which i think helped rather than asking for generic help turned out i was right Unfortunately in my case it didnt get better after 3 when after my third although i was given alot more tests automatically, I had to go through the passing of the tissue and taking it to the hospital to be sent for genetc testing (very distressing having to catch and store it), they then messed up how they transferrred it and all I was told "well if you have another, we will test again"?!! Insensitve @@**

Good luck to all the others who are expecting bfp's and sorry for being so miserable tonight...as i pour another slightly larger glass of wine

Ladies who temp, where do i get one of these bbt thermometers? I want to make sure I am definitely ov'ing next month.

Treaclepie19 · 02/06/2014 19:26

Oh cava :( they really are insensitive.
It sounds like you might still be in this month! Don't give up hope.

I am also enjoying a bottle glass of wine.
I persuaded DH to get some Lanson rose to try as well. Eek :p

I got my thermometer from amazon, it's geratherm. The digital not the glass :)

Im pretty sure im out for June now... hopefully I wont see any of you on the july bus! Im hanging around here for now though

Treaclepie19 · 02/06/2014 19:54

Oh no poco, sorry to hear that :(
I'm waiting for the July bus also! (If af arrives before then).

KittyVonCatsington · 02/06/2014 20:06

Do you know what? Sometimes I think the medical professionals don't actually know a lot of this stuff (apart from the specialists). I have a feeling your GP didn't answer your LP question, because they didn't know. I remember that when I first went to a and e after GP sent me there, the doctor took a pregnancy test (normal cheapy) which was BFN and said I wasn't pregnant, must have been mistaken.

I promptly whipped out a FRER (brought my previous BFP stick to show and a new one) peed on that and got a BFP. Promptly got sent to EPU where they were lovely and checked for ectopic etc. The first doctor made me feel I was lying or stupid and obviously didn't know about low HCG levels and different tests Hmm

Very Angry reading your post cava Incompetance at its best.

Sorry you still have HCG levels Treacle Heartbreaking Thanks

Your choice frenetic. I tested the afternoon of my AF due (Feb) and got a fairly strong FRER BFP so you may not have to wait that long! Keep us posted you too pocopearl

Treaclepie19 · 02/06/2014 20:20

I think you're right kitty, I've had thathat same experience with the pregnancy tests.
I really think with something as common as pregnancy they should know a little more.

Well, my Lanson is yummy! Fizz :)

Rainbow555 · 02/06/2014 20:29

Well I am still waiting for af, now two days late and three bfn later I have no idea what is going on! Will just have to keep waiting I guess!
We were away for the weekend and after my traumatic news on Friday I may have had a large glass or two on Sunday, being convinced af was on its way! Ho hum!

Viperama · 02/06/2014 20:35

Frenetic if it were me I'd wait to we'd morning. Getting a bfn is so disappointing, at least AF puts us back on cd1 so a new beginning. I'm due to test tmrw, but not going to until Friday morning if AF hasn't rocked up. Fingers crossed for you

cavamonster · 02/06/2014 20:38

kitty think you are very right there about them not knowing so just try to get you in and out as quick as possible. In my last appointment with my gp when I told him I was advised he was to refer me to St Mary's, he started having a real go at me saying all these referrals take alot of time and he would have to do it in his own time Shock thankfully I am more hardened to these things now so I was able to hold it together but really??!

treacle think fizz was a great idea especially rose as i get up and move bottle of champagne from wine rack to fridge for tomorrow

Off to spend more money on Amazon, who would have guessed that when I started ttc it would end up in weekly parcels from them Grin

KittyVonCatsington · 02/06/2014 20:52

They get paid well over 100,000 pounds a year...they have time to write a referral! I agree that the tactic is often "make it hard so they go away"
They don't know how determined we ladies are, when it comes to TTC!!

Raising a glass of non-alcoholic beer to you Treacle (for tomorrow) and all the passengers on this bus

silverine · 02/06/2014 21:02

treacle it's really bad when it comes to MCs... After my two in short succession all they would offer was standard blood tests they do at the GP's... I had to pay for investigations abroad.
Having said thay, they didn't identify a reason. So we started ttc around April 2012, mmcs oct 2012 and February 2013, ttc again since June 2013 and nothing to show for it except a chemical this April...
So after af rocked up on Saturday, despite all the vits, temp charting and three cycles of acupuncture, I'd sort of had enough and booked appointment with my gp today.
After my first mc they said rather than do lots of investigations they go for assisted processes, ie ivf. So I went and asked for referral for assessment.. it might seem lazy but we do qualify and surely getting the assessment won't hurt right?
I'm hoping that by sod's law I'd get upduffed as soon asthe appt is boobooked. So here's to a last-chance bfp in June!
Sorry all, life story over!

Treaclepie19 · 02/06/2014 21:22

Oh ladies. Sounds like we're all having/had a rough time. Enjoy your champagne cava :)

We will all get there ladies. You are all so lovely!

kurama · 02/06/2014 21:28

wow so much to catch up on..... i think im in the tww now. hoping you are all ok this week. my weekend is pretty crap but oh well.

KittyVonCatsington · 02/06/2014 21:31

Oh, cava I forgot to say, I have the BabyMad thermometer off Amazon - about 3 or 4 pounds I think. Just buy a spare battery Grin

silverine · 02/06/2014 21:50

Thanks treacle FX for us all indeed!
cava sorry you've been going through a tough time too.
Btw sorry for the moan. Didn't mean to turn the bus intothe ttc after mc thread. I love the buses though!

kitty have you tried the boots digi thermometer too? I started with that, then got a bbt one off amazon but that is always a couple of decimal points below the boots one so I don't know which one to go by.

Teakind · 02/06/2014 22:20

TMI alert: I'm 6dpo (i think) and i just went to the loo and there was a bit of blood when i wiped? I don't have period pains and i'm not due on until about 10th June. I'm really sorry to overshare but has anyone experienced this? I don't want to get my hopes up and think it could be implantation bleeding as I could just be getting an early period I guess?! My DH doesn't understand why I am flapping and says i just have to wait. ah!

Treaclepie19 · 02/06/2014 22:23

Sounds good tea but I have had that and it been early af.
If it's not normal for you I'd be cautiously excited! :)

Right I'm going to lie awake worrying sleep. First day back at work tomorrow.
Eek :/

Teakind · 02/06/2014 22:28

Thanks treacle I think my body is still adjusting to coming off the pill so it could be AF. Good luck with you first day back at work tomorrow.

KittyVonCatsington · 02/06/2014 22:50

silverine No, i've only got the baby mad one. I'm guessing that there may be differences in thermometers but sticking with the same one, would be enough to show the shifts. Dunno. Could be wrong Grin

6dpo, if it is 6dpo, would be a good sign. Just thinking, if it was AF, you'd get a temp dip, but you may also with an implantation dip. Seeing what happens in the days after would tell you what it was. I've seen some great dips in charts that shoot straight back up the day after, that go onto BFPs!

Are you temping Teakind?

Teakind · 02/06/2014 23:00

kitty no I haven't been temping as it sounded rather complicated. If it doesn't work out this month then I think I'll give it a go next month. This ttc malarkey is definitely stressful. Do you just use a normal thermometer and take it first thing in the morning?
