Hi all

I took a ic test this morning. At first look i thought it was negative as couldn't see a line. Then when i looked carefully I could see the faintest of faintest lines under the right light and when turning the test. I thought i must be imagining it.
If the line is too faint does that mean its still negative. Or would no line be produced if a negative. Or could it be a evap line as I checked it about a minute (or less) after i was supposed to so after 11 mins. I don't want to convince myself i am pregnant if its negative. Help!

With pregnancy tests, generally any line is positive even if it is very very faint! But I would test again tomorrow, or better still, in a couple of days and see if the line is clearer. Then at least you will feel better about it and have no doubts! Fx for you!

Thanks Hanflan Grin

Its only when under the light and turning the test so im thinking im imagining it and its hopeful thinking. Il try and wait as long as possible. i'm due AF between the 9th-11th im currently on cd25. I got positive opks on day 13,14 and 15 so im 12dpo and have had lots of symptoms but not sure again if its just wishful thinking xx

Wait two days and try again, hcg levels will double if you're gp and the line will be clearer x

Sorry impatientlywaiting, I have only just seen this. I'm sure everyone would be pleased for you :)

I'm fine thanks, though went for a scan today as had some brown discharge on Sunday. Midwife said it was probs fine, but referred me to be on safe side. Was very reassuring, as we saw a heart beat :)

How are you doing?

impatientlywaiting14 · 13/05/2014 21:44

Hi Baking Oh That's lovely, yes Im sure all is fine, i read somewhere brown discharge or spotting is usually nothing to worry about. I understand though how nerve racking it is i have been very nervous since i found out xx

OP posts:
bakingmad83 · 14/05/2014 06:50

Think it's only natural to worry, especially when it's your first.

How are you doing symtpom wise? Nausea started on Saturday and am really noticing a heightened sense of smell the last couple of weeks. Plus I have totally gone off sweet food and I used to have a massively sweet tooth. I was worried at first my boobs weren't changing, but they are starting to fill out a bit now too.

I'm going to see midwife next Tuesday, so another thing that will make it seem more real.

x
