Excited & Nervous.
I have pcos and irregular periods from 31-45 days....its day 54, iv had period cramps all week, sore boobs (i do get sore boobs before my period tho) altho this is tender under my armpits lol. I dont know if/when i ovulated as i dont do ov tests ect & my last results from prog test was low showing i wasnt ovulating :-(
I dont know what to think???

You might as well test today but given your previous negatives I think you should prepare yourself for a negative. Your last test results showed you weren't ovulating. I'm afraid that's whats likely to be behind the length of this cycle. Have you been offered any medical help with this?

Hi MrsM i have been started on Metformin since the results. Since starting on Metformin my cycles regulated a bit (well better than they had been).
I also have underactive thyroid & consultant wanted my levels below 2, to help with concieving...my last result 6 weeks ago was 1.01 :-)

That sounds good then. Glad you are getting help. I still think it will unfortunately be negative today though. Even the cheap tests are sensitive enough to pick up a positive when you are 'late'

Thanks for your help MrsM it prob will be...guess i should just do it & get it over with i suppose?? :-/

Might as well find out - I went from not-ovulating to pregnant, despite the fact that I hadn't started treatment yet. I'd gone for an MRI and was sure I wasn't pregnant because I'd had a 'period'. Or implantation bleed ... oops. [She's 12 now and no lasting damage done Smile]. Good luck OP - I remember how frustrating it felt.

Thanks EATmum I done it and it displayed 'Not Pregnant'. Ahhhh well least i know. Suppose i was getting my hopes built up. Will just have to wait it out for my period to decide when it will show!!
Lovely news for you. Did you also have tests done to see if you were ovulating or not?
xx

Sorry it wasn't what you hoped for. Yes, I wasn't ovulating (high prolactin due to pituitary gland prob). But then I clearly was ... Sending you Thanks

Nothing messes with your mind more than ttc or thinking you're pregnant. Not helped by the fact that symptoms are similar for pre-menstrual and pregnancy which is bloody unfair. Sorry it wasn't the result you hoped for but perhaps this uber long cycle is your body getting it's arse in gear?

1moretime · 05/05/2014 17:48

I do hope so hun!
To add to the confusion iv had some stringy cm before but not clear...it was white & my boobs are really sore xx
