Depo finishes this month then we are ttc #2

Does anyone know how long it will take to get the depo out of my system? I've only had one injection and was on the pill previously.

it can take up to a year or longer for fertility to return after the depo so fingers crossed you dont have to wait too long. Netdoctor says:

Most women should start to ovulate 5 to 6 months after their last injection, but you may not conceive until 10 to 15 months after your last injection (or sometimes even longer)

My periods returned to normal six months after and once we started trying it took eleven months to conceive.

Hopefully as you've only had it once it will be quicker for you. I've heard of women conceiving after three months or so.

Hopefully as you have only had one you should get back to normal quicker, I took it for almost a year and it took 7 months for my period to return then another 6 months for it to regulate!

I was on it for 7 years, came if for a year, but had no periods, then went back on it for 3 years. I had my last injection in the December and went onto the pill in Feb. I came off the pill in May and had periods while I was on it (unlike before). I got my BFP in October, 10 months after my last injection, 5th cycle of TTC.

Fx that after once one jab it'll happen sooner rather than later for you.

Hopefully it will be fairly quick for you. I ws on it for 7 yrs.

Last jab sept 2012.

Period arrived june 2013.

Regular 24/25 day cycles ever since. Still no bfp....
