Hi all,

So we started ttc this month! First time we bd was the first day of ewcm and did it every day for a week, but we were on holiday and jetlagged/tired due to busy city break!

Im due af early next week and nothing feels different to normal so i dont think im pregnant.

I am secretly a little gutted as i thought naively we would get it first time. Did anyone else feel like this?

My periods range between 25-28 days and i can always predict when they will be by when i got ewcm. I usually get sore nipples 2 days after ewcm. On the very very rare times i have been late (ie when stressed by wedding planning!) I knew i would be as i didnt get ewcm. Does this sound promising?

Not going down the routes of opk or temping as wanting (trying!) to be relaxed about it.

From what I have read on here, you can honestly never tell. You get so many people who have all the symptoms in the book and then get AF turns up. Then you get others who have no symptoms whatsoever, convince themselves they aren't pregnant, then get a BFP! You just never know, so keep plodding on and we will all get there Grin

Sorry i meant does it sound promising as in i am ovulating? I have always been so worried that i will struggle to conceive!

It does sound like you are! If you have fairly regular cycles, have ewcm, there is no reason to suspect that you are not Smile. Unfortunately the only thing that really confirms ovulation is a biphasic temp chart, and like you said, you don't really want to go down that route if you want to relax about the whole thing! Even opks don't confirm ovulation, they show that your LH has increased but still no certainty that you actually did ovulate!

I would do as you are doing, relax, dtd lots, and if you are not upduffed within a few months then can always try temping for just one cycle to see if you are ovulating. Good luck!

Hi jdear

You are exactly like me, we've just started, on cycle 2 of TTC#1 and like you, I was secretly gutted when AF turned up, even though I know it's highly unlikely to catch on 1st time.

I fairly convinced I've not fallen this time too - just not really had time to do enough DTD as DP has had loads of works do's - has been getting home late, bit pissed and we are knackered so not done it enough.

But we've still done it and keep reminding myself that I only takes one time.

But fairly sure it'll be on to Cycle 3 for me

Good luck!!!
