how can you tell you fellpreg (forget test for now, don't wanna seem paranoied).i should have had my period last week, but feel only ab pains and normal period cramps. i was worried by the sever ab pains (they lasted about an hour) and was wondering how pregs do u have to be to feel pain from (forgot now what it was called) embryo in fallopian tube? had coil fitted last month.

ectopic pregnancy. Its bloody painful but everyone feels pain differently. u may be really hardcore with pain whereas I'm a wimp! But if u still in pain and have temperature DON'T IGNORE IT! In fact don't ignore it anyway your health is more important than worrying about being paranoid cos ectopics left 2 long are EXTREMELY SERIOUS. Please don't leave it. xx

If you have a copper coil (which should not affect your normal cycle) and have missed a period, it is VERY important that you do a test ASAP. Are your periods normally regular? Do you have any stress in your life at the moment that could have delayed the period? If not, a test performed now, when your period is 1 week late, should be an accurate test.

Also, if you are having any kind of abdominal pains, you really should go to your local family planning clinic or GP. They won't think you're over-reacting, and it is very important that you get checked out, especially as your period is late. They will do your preg test for free too.

A friend of mine got preg using the coil and was one week late and tested positive. She had her coil removed and her baby is now 3 weeks!

I was conceived when my mum was using a coil, it can happen!
