Thanks mac :)
There's no way we'd ever be able to dtd in the morning as DS Is up very bright and early lol :p

poppet85 · 15/05/2014 15:37

This is why I am not 100% convinced by opks !! Having said that Iam dashing home tonight to test !

macmissy · 15/05/2014 15:40

I don't know how anyone does it at night, I am absolutely knackered! Grin

Bugaboom · 15/05/2014 16:41

Hi everyone. Scan booked for first thing tomorrow morning. No more bleeding, but tired and ravenous all day. I'll keep you all posted.

oh, and I was having a glass of wine in evenings the week we conceived. Personal choice but I felt there's enough restrictions on the 9 months of pregnancy to deny yourself too much whilst ttc!!

poppet85 · 15/05/2014 16:43

Boom fx but that sounds positive ,right ?

Bugaboom · 15/05/2014 16:48

I think so. I thought they would just reassure me on phone as I only bled for an hour and it was light with no cramps. But I guess they have to be sure and fx scan will be fine and then I can relax

macmissy · 15/05/2014 16:50

I'll keep my fx for you Boom what time is your scan? x

lillamyy1 · 15/05/2014 16:52

Hope everything's ok Boom! It sounds like it's pretty normal. Thanks
Kitkat, I've halved my dose from 20mg to 10mg. I already feel more energetic, but also a lot more stressy! It's like constant pmt - how are you feeling? What are you on? I'm on citalopram. Coming off them as I've put on 2 stone and got v lazy.
I got very pissed off all of a sudden last night when I went into the kitchen and saw what a mess DP had made, so I tidied and slammed about loudly (he was trying to watch a film) and then went to bed in a huff Blush Think I might have shot myself in the foot though because (according to fetilityfriend) I should be ovulating today and so we missed out a chance to dtd!! He's at work tonight and we didn't dtd on tuesday either so I'll have to keep fingers crossed that the swimmers from sunday and monday are still feeling lively!

I gave up drinking totally last month but I had a few drinks last w/e and I've got 2 bday parties this w/e so will probably have a little tipple then. The amount of people who get knocked up when they're pissed, it can't make that much difference!

Ducky23 · 15/05/2014 16:57

Sounds positive boom Smile

What time is your scan?

macmissy · 15/05/2014 17:01

Can you pounce on him in the morning lil don't give up! (this is what I have taken from looking into SMEP today) - that and I am an advocate for morning DTD!

Bugaboom · 15/05/2014 17:11

Scan at 8:50am. Good luck to all those dtd. Smile

macmissy · 15/05/2014 17:19

Will keep my fx for you boom

Ticktick · 15/05/2014 17:30

Thanks for the welcome back, you are a lovely bunch :))

Good luck for scan Boom. Fx.

We are going to try a bit of morning dtd this month just to try something new. It's cycle #6 for us and its getting frustrating! At what stage can I be genuinely concerned about our fertility? Is it after 12m? We are both 31 and generally healthy non drinking, non smoking, normal weight vegetarians.

Ducky23 · 15/05/2014 17:53

I think they say 12 months at your age tick.

That's good that it's nice and early boom Smile will be thinking of you!

I don't know how you managed morning DTD! I feel gross in the morning! Ha Grin your all machines!!!

poppet85 · 15/05/2014 17:58

I think its 12months tick tbh I cant see myself holding out for 12months before seeing the dr .You could always make an appointment ? Talking it through with soneone might help and you never know they might offer to do bloods or something ? Least then they know your situation .

Ducky23 · 15/05/2014 18:06

Yea I don't think its an absolute rule tick, if you are worried at all go and see your gp Smile

For those of you who quit smoking, I need some advice! Does it get better? I haven't smoked for a few weeks now and thought by now it would be easy with little/no cravings, but it seems to be getting worse Hmm I don't have cravings as often but when I do they are awful! Is this normal do you think? And do you know how long it will last? Confused

MrsPopple29 · 15/05/2014 18:14

We nearly always DTD in the morning- like you macmissy I am always exhausted at night! I always fall asleep the minute my head hits the pillow (sometimes whilst DH is still talking...)

Am really glad it's nearly the weekend, should hopefully ovulate tomorrow and then will have more energy to DTD :)

poppet85 · 15/05/2014 18:31

What cycle day are you popple ? If you dont mind me asking .Iam cd10 havent had a positive opk yet which I know is normal but of course my mind thinks is awfull and we will never ever be able to have children .Silly mind !

Me624 · 15/05/2014 18:35

I'm another fan of morning dtd, but DH likes evening so we have to compromise and do a bit of both! The only rule for morning is teeth brushed first!

kitkatkaty87 · 15/05/2014 18:38

Lil I'm also on citalopram! Lovely to have someone else in the same position. Are you planning on coming off completely. I also had massive tantrum yesterday - mowing the front lawn and the garden is so rubbish basically couldn't do it properly and it got me so annoyed. Came in and slammed the stair gate and scared thelife out of the poor dog who Iis a nervous wreck anyway. I haven't been so angry in ages! Must be coming off citalopram for sure!
I'm hoping af disappears today so I can start using opk again!

OP posts:
MrsPopple29 · 15/05/2014 18:44

Poppet I'm on CD11 (or possibly 10 if you count AF from first whole day of proper flow) and after POAS twice today have come to the same conclusion... ;) I'm not even expecting to ov til tomorrow so I don't know why I'm worried about negative OPKs!

poppet85 · 15/05/2014 18:49

Thank god it's not just me popple !! I got really annoyed it was a negative which is completely stupid as I think my really importants days are over the weekend ! I have convinced myself the line is slightly darker so that should satisfy my tiny mind !

Ticktick · 15/05/2014 18:58

Thanks for the advice. I'm trying so hard not be neurotic as we said we would just stop contraception and let nature take its course... we are not gooey broody types so we thought we could just chill till it happens but i have been quietly obsessing over TTC ever since. Plan right now is to think positive and give it our all this month :) This group will be full of BFPs in June I can feel it.

Ducky hope craving ease off for you, must be a hard habit to kick. X

Cupcake92 · 15/05/2014 19:06

Fx crossed for ur scan Boom.
I quit smoking when I found out I was gp with DS..... I craved one the whole time!! Brought a 10 pack (menthol as I thought this was better than the usual hahaa!) and I popped them in my labour bag so I could have one after giving birth lol! I had a csection so I couldn't walk so I never had one :/ but I did smoke again a couple months after. It's hard to stop as I always crave one so bad!

Ducky23 · 15/05/2014 19:12

It's a positive month! Smile

Don't know how im going to cope with this for 6 months! I've already decided I'm going to get some of the colourful cigarettes for my hospital bag!

Is it weird that I'm excited to pack my hospital bag! Grin
