At 28 weeks pregnant u have an anti D injection, it stops ur body thinking baby is something bad and try to reject it, so the injection u have stops any of that. Then once baby is born Ull have another anti D injection incase any of babies blood is left inside u so then the Injection will stop ur body trying to fight off babies blood cells.
It's all fine tho :) I was told it's nothing to worry about at all. The injection does bloody sting a lot tho! But after having steroid injections....nothing is bad as that!

Hello everyone, we're ttc #1 since Feb this year so thought I'd join in the fun. Took a couple of months to get my first AF but since then been fairly regular about 29 days so currently in cycle 3. Not using opks or anything yet but just an app, and in theory have ov in the last week. Dtd plenty so just a waiting game now :-). Af due on 22nd May...

I'm just on my way home now on train after 2 week hols, pretty sure I'm ovulating right now so gotta dtd as soon as I get back. Bit worried that I won't be in the mood because I'm feeling reeeeaally grumpy! Always happens when I visit my mum! Even though I'm 30 she still tried to tell me what I should be doing with my life. Instead of being excited and happy for me that I'm ttc, she's now trying to convince me to move back to ner where she lives, even though there'd be no way of me being able to continue my career there. Had a bit of a go at her for trying to tell me how to live my life and then she went all sulky so left on a bad note. Aaarrgh!!!!!!

Aww lil I'm sorry you had a rubbish visit! Try and not take it out on DH, you need him for this journey! Just try and put it out your mind for now, or take your frustrations out on DH in a more positive way what makes you think you ov today? Was it cm? Opk? Good luck!

I told mum we were thinking of having a baby this year she said "well you can hardly have one by christmas unless your pregnant now" not really the excited caring response I was hoping for !! Think it must be a strange and worrying time for our mums just as it is us !

lil that s what mum's do- know best. Mine was still telling me what I should do the night before she died. She used to say 'If I was you I would...' and I used to say, ' Well if you were me you could do that but you're not so mind your own business' (in a nice way) and she would laugh. Wish she was here today. She so wanted to be a grandma and she never put any pressure on us.
Just do what Ducky said and divert all your energy into dtd with DH. That woman who made herself have sex every day for a year with her DH said even when she didn't feel like it, once she started off she forgot her bad day.

AF arrived the day we got back from honeymoon, so no honeymoon baby

And next good time for TTC we are at the inlaws - looks like we will be back to our teenage sneaking around!

No AF for me today, but trying to hold out a few more days before I POAS, it's so tempting though! I ordered a pack of 10 from amazon and it's like they're staring at me ...

Ducky - haven't used opks yet. Although there should be some at home when I get in. Just guessing from ewcm yesterday and from what fertility friend says!

Well after a horrible first proper af I knew there was a reason why I was on the pill i am looking forward to getting back to dtd and only a week left till honeymoon so can't wait to relax and get down to making out honeymoon baby!!

Thanks M624 and Imustbe. It has been a funny day. Poured up in the north so not much doing.
I slept really badly last night- over-thinking and just shocked.Fell asleep after 3 and woke about half 6 with DH cuddled in behind me also awake.
Did another poas this morning incase first one was faulty.
We stood again in the bathroom, scared stiff watching it. Then went back to bed in relief and slept for a couple of hours. I don't know how many times he has said 'OK?' and I've said 'Fine'. We are just a pair of wimps today. Can't go on like this for 8 months.
He has had work to do - so have I but could not settle to it. Have spent evening on mnet.
Am now tucked up in bed with the cat and my ipad while he waits for MOTD on TV downstairs.

Be honest, should I leave this thread now? I can't imagine you want to hear all this tripe about the details of life with me and DH as we come to terms with possible parenthood. Is there a rule that says once there's a BFP you have to take yourself to a different thread to share your stuff. I looked today but they were all about people being tired and sick. Quite depressing and not as nice as this one. But I don't want to upset anyone by rabbiting on about it all- I know how much you all want a BFP. And I will rabbit- DH will drive me mad, bless him!

Think having af every month is worse then child birth. Me and DH have made some changes since last time we were TTC so means even more to me this time as dd is not his and he is an amazing stepdad I want to give him his own dc too!
