Hoping this is the right place to post.

I'm wondering whether I might be pregnant and just want to try and work out when to test. We are not ttc so i dont have exact dates etc but ive had some 'symptoms' which on their own i wouldn't blink at but together are a bit suspicious.

Here is the most accurate I can be about dates:

  • am on cerazette mini pill but missed 2 non consecutive days about 3-4 weeks ago.
  • had a period at about the same time.
  • had sex 2 weeks ago tomorrow.

Seems mad but there is just something in the back of my mind saying 'yiu are pregnant'. I'm on the pill and only missed a couple but i got pregnant before after literally a couple of days of stopping the pill so i know its possible. As in on the mini pill my periods are irregular and in only 8 months post partum anyway do its all over the place.

Hi, I would suggest doing a test now as 13 days after dtd so I would have thought it would show something if you are. Eek!

Really? That soon? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to pregnancy tests. Do i need one that detects it early (i.e an expensive one)?

If there is a chance it wouldn't be positive yet but still could be pregnant ill wait but if i can definitely get a result now ill get it over with?

It would definitely show by now if it was 13 days ago that you dtd. Grab yourself a cheap kit from a supermarket own brand or something. I have also heard Superdrug ones are great!

JRmumma · 30/04/2014 14:22

Thanks all i think ill pop out and get one then.

I have had that before, your body and mind can play tricks on you! Sorry it was negative though :(

Thanks. Its for the best that I'm not pregnant right now, DS is only 8mo and im not sure how we would cope financially with the cost of daycare for 2 before DS gets his 15hrs free at 3yo.

The 'scare' has made me realise that I do really want another though. I thought i wasn't too bothered before.
