Confused with the ovulation strips

I've been trying to conceive after a mmc (16 weeks) for almost a year, this is the first month I've used the strips
I have a phone app which put my ovulation on day 14 as it would, I tested on day 12 and got a really strong positive for ovulation, I tested again that night (not even sure.why) and it came out negative, haven't got another positive since ?
Could it have been a dodgy test or is there only a 8 hour window where it's going to be positive ???

Sometimes you only have short lh surges :-) I was using just cheapy opks and got a positive on the pm and a clear negative the next morning & evening. I beleive you ovulate 24 - 36 hours after a positive opk so if I was you I would DTD tonight and tomorrow to make sure good luck

Well if I ovulated when it said I'd be 12 dpo or 8dpo when the app said so
Dtd loads so fingers crossed
I only bought cheap ones, maybe that was my downfall cheapskate that's me

Ha me to! Have you had any other symptoms? Ewcm or ov pain?

My boobs are sore but they were last month.
I've got a sickness bug atm so don't suppose I can count feeling sick lol
