Hello! I'm new here...TTC #1 (Original plan was NTNP, but it's gone out the window a bit)
I stopped taking Cerazette 53 days ago, (Been taking it for about 9 months, beforehand I was on Yasmin, but got told it wasn't something that my Dr would prescribe anymore) and have yet to have any kind of AF - saw the nurse at my local and she told me it could be 6days - 6 months to sort itself out (Thanks for the heads up before prescribing!!). We have been BD like the clappers, and I had some pregnancy symptoms while I was in pill withdrawal, which I totally expected. 27 days after I stopped it, I had a little bit of very light pink cm and some right side pain, so I thought 'oooh! I must be Ov'ing', so we BD'd some more and I gave it another 2 weeks and started testing. Kept getting BFN each time. Then Last week on Tuesday (So about 45 days after stopping pill) I had the WORST pain in my right side. Like Oving but about a million times worse, it started as a pinching, and then went into what felt like a cross between appendicitis and AF pain, but in the wrong place. (I don't have an appendix anymore). I was on the verge of going to A&E, POAS everyday and started freaking out that I'd got an ectopic, and then bang! on Friday, the pain went away again as quickly as it'd arrived. Each test I've done has been BFN.
I'm seeing my GP on Thursday, more for my own sanity than anything else, but I did read that a few ladies experienced really strong cramping before their BFP - I guess my question is has anyone had this too, and how long did you test after getting the pains? I tested Yesterday again with a FRER and still BFN....
I appreciate I'm probably just being impatient, and I should really wait for AF, but the pain! my god... Any snippets of wisdom would be hugely appreciated!

IIRC cerazette can cause ovarian cysts so it's probably wise you see your GP before Thursday and ask for an ultrasound. If the pain gets too much you should pop to A&E, they can sort the ultrasound that day.

Hope you're ok Thanks

It's so weird how the pain just went away, it doesn't hurt at all anymore!! -Thank you for the reply, I'm okay, jut a bit meh with my body! I want to shake my ovaries awake.... got to love artificial hormones, won't be doing that ever again...

It could be because the cyst has popped. Mention it to your GP.

I've been taking it since October and have been getting random pains. It's settled down now (I think).

Yeah, GP was a bit 'oh well!' But did say if it got that bad again to go to A&E. I asked if he thought it might be just really bad ovulation pain, but he thinks cysts are probably more likely. Oh well. I think I'm on day 57 now, and all my symptoms of anything (ov, AF, pg!) have just disappeared. So frustrating.

You can get much worse OV pains after being on the pill, it could well just be that. They also tend to get worse as you get older, and the pill could be masking that increase?

Yep, considering I haven't ovulated for nearly 8 years, I expect it'll be a hearty squeeze getting anything to pop out. Hmm
