Could I be pregnant?

Hi everyone,

I've been ttc for 3 months since my partner had his vasectomy reversed. (I'm 36 and have 2 lovely DS from my exH.) The first 2 cycles of ttc, no joy, got AF, lighter than usual but still a proper period, I did POAS just in case but got a BFN. This month I tried using a Clearblue fertility monitor & to my dismay over 20 days of testing no ovulation detected. I got an oestrogen surge but no LH surge and therefore no 'peak days'. Have been concerned that I am not fertile / will be unable to conceive.
However - today is CD 25 and I vomited at 2am so did a Clearblue pregnancy test & got a BFP! Not sure whether to believe it? On the one hand I know that pregnancy tests are very reliable but on the other I don't understand how I could be pregnant if I've not ovulated this month?

Seems to me that you conceived before this current cycle and maybe your last AF wasn't AF but implantation bleeding?

Test again, go to the Drs and if you are, congratulations!

Yes you're pregnant! Afaik false positives almost never happen. The ovulation sticks mustn't have picked up your ovulation - I used them for months as never got a positive result once - I now have 2 DC!

false positives are very rare so providing you checked the test within the correct time i would say you are pregnant :) Congratulations!

The monitor builds up info so common for first month not to work i expect.
But also possible it is from previous month.
To get a positive so early you may have ov around day 11
