TTC after ectopic

Hello! So I had my right tube removed in February after an ectopic at 6 weeks and have just started trying again after waiting for two cycles. So I was just wondering if anyone else was in the same situation.

The same sadly happened to me on Sunday night. So a bit behind you but if we decide we're brave enough we'll try again in July hopefully x good luck x

I'm very up and down as to be expected I guess. It's v raw at the minute and feels so unfair.

I had an ectopic and became pregnant 3 months later, giving birth to a healthy baby. Just be positive and be kind to yourself now.

It is unfair. Often there is no reason for it. But it is reassuring to know that it can be ok like for sundaedelight (and congrats too sundae). I'm scared about trying again tranquility but I'm trying to be hopeful. I hope it'll work out for us too. Did people know you were pregnant before the ectopic?

No, I only found out last weds, but the dates etc didn't match up, so I knew something want right. Had my surgery late Sunday night. How about you? X

I'd known for a week and was surprised into telling one friend (hadn't built up my 'why aren't you drinking?' defences by then) but other than that only my partner knew. I didn't want people knowing even after it all went wrong, nobody knew we were trying. Have you been able to get out and about much yet?

I've told a lot of my friends afterwards, as I have my own beauty business and a lot of them come for appointments that I had to cancel.

I've turned into a bit of a hermit which isn't good, but not ready to face people at the minute x

I felt the same, it was so hard the first day I went out for a walk. Although it's important to try for some sort of normality, we all also need time to grieve and be a hermit too. I watched a lot of (carefully selected) films in those first few days.

It's hard isn't it. I have next week off work but DH has to go back to work. I'm going to try and spend my time relaxing and watching films etc. xx

Hello all. I recently had my right tube removed due to an ectopic. My very first pregnancy after TTC for at least 14 years. My husband and I had given up and were content with not becoming parents. So my pregnancy was a huge shock and surprise. I thought I was starting my AF because I was spotting the whole time. By the time I had a confirmed test I was 6 weeks and ended up in the ER a week later. Sadly I heard my baby's heartbeat, 150 bpm but unfortunately I had to have emergency surgery. I was devastated. Like many I wasn't concerned about myself and how closely I came to death. I was blessed to make it to the ER in time but I am still wondering what went wrong I why it all happened. My emotions are all over the place. I too want to try again ASAP but I am concerned about a repeat experience and the fact that I am 42.
