Have been trying since January and it's not happening.

I know it's no time in the 'grand scheme' but we've never had to 'try' before.

Sorry, just feeling a bit frustrated

oh thats tough.....but its good to get it off your chest. i know how it can feel, especially when you have decided and you really want it NOW....of course it never helps when you seem to only run into preggie ladies too!!!!

good luck and i send you lots of baby vibes and hope you get good news soon!!!

i had that same trouble.....periods up the wak, 50 days etc.
dr said i had 'pcos' so not to expect anything for at least another 6 months and then if nothing look into it more.....the next month we were preggie!!! big surprise after what he'd said.......

sounds like you need a nice long relaxing weekend, hope you have a good one.

Gillian76 · 25/08/2006 08:48

That sounds like me. Last period was 2nd July. Was temping but no change at all and gave up on about day 40.

I know I'm not pregnant this time though (have taken 2 tests).

Am thinking she'll say pcos, but is there anything that can be done? Have never had any trouble before. Am 30 and have 3 children already with no bother at all conceiving.

well i'm no expert so i'm not sure hwat can done as didn't get to that stage.....
all i can say is i know someone who was told they had pcos very bad and they would never get preggie, never!!! yip you guessed it they have a 3yr old!

i guess you should try and stay positive, you are still young so thats gotta help and you are already lucky enough to have 3 children....i have who have only just had their first (same age as you) after 3yrs of trying.....i'm sure it will happen for you again.....probably when you stop thinking about it, if you can??!!!

Gillian76, join the club! I'm 25, healthy, a tee-total, non-smoker, been ttc for 11 months and all I've got to show for my efforts is a miscarriage two months ago and now I appear to have stopped ovulating. It's disheartening I know and I'm currently trying to shake the feeling that I am never going to have children. GP won't do any tests because I'm young and healthy and I need to have been trying for a year before they'll even consider talking to me.

Chin up, hope your GP can help and remember there are plenty of people on here going through the same thing who can completely sympathise.

I was told I had quite bad pcos in november 2004. When i was scanned I had 8 cysts/follicles on my left ovary and 6 on my right.
They said I would probably need hormone treatments to conceive but I decided against this as I already had 3 children.
My ds 3 was born in Jan 06 and am now newly pg again! With absolutely no intervention and I am still bf.
Only thing I wonder if it made a difference is that I took oil of evening primrose before conceiving ds 3 for about 3 months? who knows!

01kiwicath · 25/08/2006 09:15

that reminds me i was taking flaxseed oil too!!!

Gillian76 · 25/08/2006 12:49

SO this is your fifth, caz? Congratulations!
