Implantation bleed/AF?? Ttc after chemical pregnancy...

Hi everyone,

Been ttc our first baby for 5-6 months now, sadly had a chemical pregnancy last month in the very early stages. Was 21 days late for AF when I started bleeding, normal cycle length is 26-28 days.

I bled for 12 days in total (though last few days were brown residual spotting), bleeding finished on 1st April. From reading around, it seems like some women have a normal cycle length after a chemical, whereas for some it can take 4-6 weeks to get AF. Not sure whether it's calculated like a normal cycle from the first day of your last period (or in my case, the first day I started bleeding with the chemical?).

So we've had a pretty relaxed month, haven't tried too hard, but equally have enjoyed some 'quality time' together I had egg white CM from 14-17 April, and we happened to BD on 2 of those days, and the day preceding. I have no idea when I ovulate as I've never tested, and I wasn't sure this cycle would be the best to start given the uncertainty about the length.

So if this cycle were to be a normal length 26-28 days, AF should have arrived sometime between 17-19 April. She never showed, but today, 7-9 days late, I had a small amount of brown spotting when wiping earlier after the toilet. I've been twice since then, second time a tiny 'string' of brown, and the last time, nothing. Only other symptoms are very gentle cramps,
and yesterday and today had a funny ache right on my pubic bone, almost like a pulled muscle (which wouldn't be impossible as I'm a dance teacher).

Don't know whether to get an HPT to settle my mind (got a BFN 6 days ago). Do you think it could be implantation, AF, or the beginning of another chemical

Xxx

I think there is one way to find out...I think you should test!
Fingers crossed for you.

I'm just so worried about testing early again and the same thing happening as last time (I got my BFP the day after I started bleeding with the chemical - it got darker a week, and then faded away). If I continue to spot and start to bleed, don't know whether it's better to know that it's a chemical, or just 'presume' AF and be none the wiser (although the bleeding lasted 2 weeks, AF normally only 5-6 days so I would probably know anyway!)

Ok, so no major news, but hoping no news is good news!

So since I last wrote on 26th, I had a couple of days of brown spotting only really on wiping, like brown tinged CM. I also had one 'blob' of pink CM with a tiny dark bit in, almost like a small clot. Since then, nothing major, but today there was a bit more white CM staining in my underwear. I also keep getting this strange bubbly sensation down below, not sure what that is!

I bought a FRER tonight, and plan to test tomorrow morning. Keeping everything crossed that it might be my time, but still quietly cautious of getting over-excited after what happened last time. Will keep you posted!

Xx

Guess what?.....

I've got to be so cautious after what happened last month, but the second line popped up within the first minute, and by 3 minutes had darkened to what you see in the photo.

Please stick little bean, I can't wait to be your Mummy!!

Aww congratulations, so so exciting. Fingers crossed for you! I had a cp two weeks ago so this has brought me a little bit of hope. Congrats!

Aaah, sk what lovely lovely news. I too had a CP last cycle. Got my bfp on 1st April and started bleeding exactly a week later.
I'm currently in the 2ww at 5dpo and keeping my fingers crossed. You've given me hope in the belief that you're more fertile after MC!
Fx for you, hope it's a sticky one! X

Thanks ladies!

So sorry to hear that you have also been through the brief but significant heartbreak of an early CP :( I am thrilled it happened to quickly afterwards. Strangely, it's the first month that I could say I really noticed EWCM in abundance around the right time, if you've never really noticed it before, it's VERY obvious when you finally get it!

I bought a CB digital tonight. Plan to do that tomorrow morning so I can get an idea of how far along I actually might be. Will post pics of the result. Took a cheeky tesco cheap test tonight, just to see - I know I know, late night urine, cheap test etc. The line is definitely there, but much more faint than the FRER with FMU, just nice to see the line though.

My boobs are killing me by the way!! Thank you for your good wishes xxx

Yaaaaay that's amazing news! Congrats, and here's hoping for a really sticky bean Grin

I have been waking up early each day, unable to get back to sleep because I'm thinking about this little one inside me. I took another FRER this morning, figuring that the line should be darker now it's 3 days after my BFP and my HCG level should have doubled.

The line showed up as soon as the urine progressed across the test window, and darkened to what you see in the photo by 1 minute.

This is amazing and the way your lines showed up sounds very much like my tests when I was pregnant with my ds, a line of some sort was visible straight away even if it was faint whereas with my cp last month they took a while to show up the faintest of lines, so deep down I knew something wasnt right.

Wishing you a very happy and healthy pregnancy!

I am pretty sure I ov'd yesterday just because discomfort which I think is ov pain which id had for a few days is gone today and ewcm hasmassively reduced. We didnt manage to dtd every day this week which I would've liked, we have managed every other day and twice Friday so hoping thatll be enough. Your thread has given me cautious hope anyway!
