The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

That sounds quite promising littlelday! I have no symptoms whatsoever - but maybe that in itself is a good sign...? [clutching at straws] I'm not very hopeful for this cycle for some reason, despite perfectly timed TITH.

Littlelady33 · 17/05/2014 13:40

Metal I think that really most people have no symptoms at all so early and at 10dpo there surely wouldn't be many? Mine are all completely attributable to something else: sore boobs (running), tired (working too much), spot (using sunscreen). Etc. So hard to resist though.

Littlelady33 · 17/05/2014 14:14

And I know what you mean - for some reason I'm sure that this cycle wasn't quite right, hormones were all over the place for a start, and before I got my BFP I knew it was coming, so happy to sit this out and get back to trying in earnest for June

Ellisisland · 17/05/2014 16:23

Thanks for all the congratulations. Fingers crossed I have a very boring 9 months now but I am already panicking about every little twinge and am on permanent crotch watch!
Have app with the midwife in 3 weeks they said on the phone they would book me in for an early scan based on what happened previously.

Really hope we have some more BFP on this board soon

cavamonster · 17/05/2014 18:49

Thanks for the welcomes, fingers crossed we will all be moving on soon.

Yes Silverline, I've been seen at my local RMC, and tested normal for fsh, lh and thrombolosis ( I think they did a few other tests which I stupidly didn't ask the name of). I have now been referred to Lesley Regan at St Mary's in Paddington but gawd knows how long it will be until I get an appointment there.

Still no positive on my OPK but my cycles have been messed up since my last mmc so sure it'll happen soon. Funny Metal you saying about hating the 2ww, I'm so keen to get to that stage as at that part I can believe I'm in with a shout where as at the moment I know I'm not pregnant and can't do anything other than wait for two lines on a stick :-)

Hope everyone is making the most of the sunshine - we have a BBQ on the go and I'm indulging in some wine prior to abstaining the next couple of weeks!

Metalhead · 17/05/2014 19:26

Ooh I love a good BBQ cava! I'm definitely enjoying the sunshine, we're going for a picnic tomorrow.

I wasn't going to drink until AF arrived, but I'm pretty sure I'm out for this month. Just had a read back through my posts from April and I'm having exactly the same kind of cm and high cervix I did last month at 10dpo. So I think I will have a beer his evening (but stick with the one just in case).

cavamonster · 17/05/2014 19:56

Don't give up yet Metal, in my last pregnancy I had every symptom going that my AF was due and nothing that I'd conceived. You are not out till it comes! A picnic sounds lovely - sunshine makes everything feel better doesn't it...

officelady · 18/05/2014 12:03

Hurrah for this beautiful sunshine, it really lifts my spirits! Just popped in to say hi to our new members - May your stay be short (in the nicest possible way!)
Nothing of interest to report from me - I'm cd 23 and well and truly in the 2ww. I will be POAS on Friday if af doesn't get me beforehand. Not expecting a +ve, it's my first "normal" cycle since my mmc so we would be very lucky if we were successful. No symptoms whatsoever but have stopped drinking alcohol just in case. And by stopped, I mean cut down. Slightly!
Enjoy the sunshine everyone x

Cakebaker35 · 18/05/2014 12:40

Well ladies, how is everyone? Been on hols for a week and this thread has moved so fast, I promise to read back through it for everyone's updates.

Sooooo having been expecting my AF on holiday and therefore drinking like a fish, eating rare steaks, runny eggs and pretty much everything else you shouldn't for pregnancy, the end of the holiday came and went and still no AF.....so I've just poas'd (yes fish slaps for me, not on a Friday I know) and bloody hell it's a BFP! Cannot believe it, feeling pretty shocked and quite neutral about it, we weren't exactly trying although not preventing it either. I only had my mmc in March so really was not expecting it. Just trying to process it all and wonder how on earth to not be a total stress head about it all.....argh!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 18/05/2014 13:14

Oh cakebaker congratubloodylations!! Permission to feel ever so slightly excited please!! I think I mc in March at a similar stage to you so very much hoping your fertility rubs off on me (that sounds very wrong now I've typed it). I feel very encouraged when I read good news on this thread!!

Ellisisland · 18/05/2014 15:23

Congrats cake ! That's fantastic news !!

silverine · 18/05/2014 17:02

Oh wow cakebaker, hurray for the BPF!!! Thanks Wine Cake Wink

silverine · 18/05/2014 17:04

I tried to cross over the Wine but guess it doesn't work on pics. In any case, remember there's virtually no way any of the forbidden food and drink can transfer on to the bean in the early days. Smile

Justonemoretime · 18/05/2014 17:11

The forbidden food is only really a problem if you get sick, and you'd know by now if you had so don't worry about it. Smile
