Help - anyone had a BFP midcycle after a proper period??

I tested at 12DPO on 11/4, AF arrived the next day and lasted for 7 days.

I'm on CD12 of my cycle and did an OV test yesterday as had pink tinged EWCM and twinges, and it was a strong positive. The symptoms are unusual for me so decided to do a superdrug pg test and got a BFP! Did another this morning same result. WTF!

I'm worried now it's going to be ectopic or similar as twingy and the lines aren't that strong for what is essentially nearly 6 weeks. Any advise gratefully received. Thanks

I wouldn't worry about strength of line and twinges are really common as the embryo beds in and your womb stretches! If your worried see your GP though.
Congratulations!

Thanks purple I can't really let myself believe it at the moment, it's so unlike my precious pregnancies.

This is the test this morning.

Although unusual, you always hear stories of how some women didn't know they were pregnant because their periods had carried on as normal! If it is worrying you then I would see your doctor, just to put your mind at rest. It does seem that congrats are in order though Grin

And wow, that's a good strong line! Eeeeek!

My previous pregnancies were nothing like this though hanflan it's very unnerving. Do you think so re. Line, I should be 5-6 weeks if I am def pg, but indent know how dark superdrug tests normally go?

Thanks xx

Congrats tranquility, so happy for you! This happened me last month and unfortunately I lost it at 5 1/2 weeks. I really only knew I was preg for one week. My advice would be to get to your doc for blood tests and maybe see if they will give you a few days off to rest.

On the positive side I read so many stories online about successful pregnancies after a period and my sis bled lots thru all 4 of her pregnancies and has 4 beautiful healthy children now!

Good luck and let us all know how you get on! X

I can understand it being very unnerving, I would be a mess as well! That's why going to the docs will help, they might put your mind at rest a bit? I know it's hard but try not to worry too much as what will be will be. I will keep my fingers crossed for you, let us know how things go!
