breast feeder here with possible implantation bleed?

Hello.

Advice would be appreciated please. So I have a 1 year old daughter who has been breast fed since day 1. My periods returned when she was 5 months and have been bang on 30 days every month since.

My partner and I did the deed around the time of ovulation. I had quite bad cramping last Friday/ Saturday.

On Monday I had a bleed which is early as I'm not due on until tomorrow. It was very light but red. Light enough for 1 sanitary towel all day is excessive. Lasted 2 days and now gone. Any ideas? Tia xx

Oh yes. Symptoms include extreme tiredness, like I get up and I'm ready to go back to bed. extreme dizziness and being an emotional wreck. I can feel myself being grumpy for no reason but literally cant stop it. And headaches. Lots of headaches xx

I had very light periods starting at 6m of BF - fairly sure I was ovulating but my periods were very light. I stopped BF at 12m and then had random episodes of spotting - tiny amounts though (and I probably wouldn't have noticed them if I hadn't been looking...!). I kept thinking that they were ovulation or implantation bleeding but they weren't.

BUT - my cycles weren't nearly as established as yours. BF affected my cycle whilst I was nursing and for a month or two after I stopped. It sounds like BF is no longer affecting your fertility (and arguably hasn't been for a long time) and so I'd almost ignore the fact that you were BF when wondering what the bleeding was.

In which case, it most definitely could be IB.

Hmm thank you. Ive had heart burn this evening. Bizarre. I usually have heavy heavy periods that last 5_6 days so its not normal for me at all.

Think I will do a test and maybe pop to docs.
