So....the line is still quite faint but today I don't need to look at it in a funny line to see it: it's definitely there! Grin Grin Grin

Congrats mademoiselle!!! :)
Here's a pic of my progression if you want to feel better about faint lines :) Done another today (naughty) 21dpo and the test line came quicker than the control :)

Eeeeks! Grin

EnglishGirlAbroad · 27/04/2014 08:16

Congtrats Star!! What a lovely pressie for dh!!

Sorry you're still getting bfn Retro - keep positive.

I'm nursing the worst hangover.... It was Kings day here (basically the whole country parties for the Kings birthday)! Amsterdam was crazy! I'm too old for all day drinking now though!!

victoria401 · 27/04/2014 08:20

Retro, I'm so sorry hun :-(

Madmoiselle I hope your line get stronger.

Not sure if anyone else is left in here?

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 08:34

Haha thanks starbright :)

Tilly28 · 27/04/2014 08:39

Congratulations mademoiselle and starbright! We need stats now! :-)

So sorry Rhetro :-( remember you're not out until AF shows so keep positive.

MademoiselleG · 27/04/2014 08:56

Thank you Treacle, I am not too worried actually. I am just using every little ounce of positivity in me to will this little one on! And thank you everyone else too!

So stats:
dtd cd 4, 6, 7, 9, 13, 15, 16, 17 (twice...for good measure!), 19 and 21
Ov'd on cd18 (tracker app' reckoned it would be two days earlier but got solid smiley on the Tuesday afternoon and definitely felt the ovulation pains -probably knowing for the first time in my whole life what it actually was!- on the Wednesday afternoon) and started having flashing smileys from cd13.

Things we did:
used CB opk with flashing / solid smiley faces
Took epo before ov
NUDP a couple of times and pillow under bum. Definitely no peeing after dtd for as long as possible
took conception vitamins (his and hers, although I am not sure how many 'he' actually remembered to take!)
drank some grapefruit juice before ov and ate a pineapple after, but I honestly don't think this is relevant...

I just convinced myself this would be our month and did lots of positive visualisation of conception etc. I got inspiration from Marisa Peer (sorry if you find her irritating, I found her really positive and reassuring!...) www.tryingtogetpregnant.co.uk/

EDD according to MN is January 6th, which was our DD's due date in 2012! (we are expecting a lot of grief for that, along the lines of: "So...you only have sex once a year?)

Oh and totally tempted the law of sod by spending £££ on new clothes this month. Also ordered LOTS of delicious boozy drinks in our last online shop and came back with tonnes of cheese and wine from our French holiday.

Sorry for the mammoth post :-) eeeek, exciting!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 27/04/2014 09:00

Retro i really think if tests can give a false positive then they should be banned. I went through the same last month and it's such a turmoil. I now have stuck to frer and waited until af due. It's bad enough seeing a bfn isn't it, but a bfp then bfn just because the tests are crap. Totally not fair.

In other news full flow of af arrived yesterday. Which was expected.

Mademoiselle that's fab news ! So pleased for you Thanks

MrsExtraOrdinary · 27/04/2014 09:02

Starbright I'm sure I've already congratulated you somewhere but I can't find it, so have some more ThanksThanksThanks

Mslad · 27/04/2014 09:04

omg, I don't know how this happened, but I think I got a BFP!

I'll try to upload them. I just tested last night out of frustration about what af was up to and got a faint line. I tested a clear blue before bed which was negative, tested a clear blue this morning and bfp.

What do you think?

Oh is still asleep- he will be delighted, but we were rowing most of yesterday, which is very unusual for us, probabaly mostly due to me being moody (symptom?) so wish I wasn't telling him now, plus he is going go kill me cos we drank a lot (English I'm also in Holland, and we celebrated kings day yesterday), and took pain killers for what I thought was af....he may flip out initially!

Thank you MrsE ! A French sticky bean after all :-) Goof luck with nasty AF. I will be cheering you and all the other lovely ladies on from a distance. Thank you so much for all your kind words of reassurance and bonkers stories along the journey, it sure has been quite a ride...! Thanks

Mslad · 27/04/2014 09:07

oh and congrats to all the bfp's this morning! Mademoiselle starbright

retro this whole thing seems so unscientific, so you never know!

MademoiselleG · 27/04/2014 09:08

Errrrr....MsLad, TOTES PREGGERS! Congratulations! Thanks Thanks hurray!!!!

and don't worry about drinking last night and painkillers: nothing that can be done about it now AND so many people have done it before Grin

Mslad · 27/04/2014 09:10

Thanks mademoiselle eek! I'm freaking out a little, and trying not to get my hopes up, just in case......

EnglishGirlAbroad · 27/04/2014 09:12

Wow!! BFP central here this week!! Congrats mslad!! The drinking won't do anything so don't worry. You're bean hasn't started feeding from yo just yet. You'll be fine

MrsExtraOrdinary · 27/04/2014 09:12

Malad more flowers ThanksThanksThanksThanksThanks
How exciting! Don't punish yourself about the drink. We can't all sit and wait forever for a bfp. At this stage the chances of it being detrimental are minimal. So enjoy the moment without the guilt. The guilt never goes away when you're a mum so just learn to live with the fact none if us is perfect we can only do our best xx

MrsExtraOrdinary · 27/04/2014 09:20

Sorry my silly phone didn't like your name mslad Blush time for Brew

RetroHippy · 27/04/2014 09:31

Flowers and Cake for everyone within end of the month bfp!! What a lot Grin

Wine and Cake for those that AF got. MrsE, at least you're not in limbo any more.

I think I'll be heading to the May bus now. I got such a clear line with the test I did (even DH believed it!) but with nothing on anything else I don't even think it was a chemical. Turns out, based on my temp drop, I ov'd a couple of days later than I thought, so would have been 12 dpo when I got it.

So, will be telling everyone and writing emails to the appropriate people.

DO NOT USE PREDICTOR TESTS!

I didn't check the reviews until after I got a bfn the following day. Loads of women have had clear false positives with these tests, some multiple times. It is shocking they are still allowed to be sold. And at nearly £6 for one, they aren't a cheap option either. So, so angry and upset.

Mslad · 27/04/2014 09:31

ha ha mrsE I think I prefer it, kinda Victorian, like 'ma'lad and ma'lady'!

Writerwannabe83 · 27/04/2014 09:35

Wow, a sudden influx of BFPs - seeing all these photos has put a huge smile on my face Smile

Retro - what's happened to you is really shitty. I looked at that link you posted about the reviews and I can't believe how many people had it happen to them too. And like you said, for £6 a test it's just unacceptable really!!

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 09:43

Oh retro so sorry :(

Congrats mslad :)

gennibugs · 27/04/2014 10:17

congratulations to mademoiselle and mslad. fab news. really exciting.

Retro I am so so sorry. really am. until AF arrives there is still hope.

AF hit this morning so I'm out. I knew the minute I opened my eyes. Maybe I'll join the may bus, I'm not sure right now.
