Doctors urine test

This is probably a stupid question. But when you send a urine sample off with the doctors to test for pregnancy, do they just use a normal pregnancy test or do they look into it like they do blood?

Normal pregnancy test, but their tests are often less sensitive that some you can buy in the shops.

Oh that's rubbish :(

Can you get yourself to a shop to get a normal pregnancy test, or have you done one already?
