Metalhead · 16/04/2014 14:59

Hi all, I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd just pop in to say hello.

Congratulations zermatt and anyone else who I might have missed with a BFP! Sorry to those caught out by AF, better luck next cycle.

I poas this morning at 11dpo but got a BFN. I knew it was too early really, I've never tested positive before 13dpo, but couldn't resist. Not giving up hope just yet though as I've been quite crampy since yesterday (same as last time I got a BFP) and my cervix is really high today, which is very unusual. Should know by the weekend either way, and at least we're flying to Germany tomorrow for a long weekend so that should help distract me a bit!

gennibugs · 16/04/2014 15:13

Sorry to those AF got, it sucks it really does.

gennibugs · 16/04/2014 15:17

Does anyone wish they could fast forward time.....wishing my life away. ..

I just want this 2ww to end, POAS and confirm what I suspect and in my heart of hearts know (or AF just come) and move on. Being in limbo is killing me!
What's the earliest people would say you can POAS post ov? is it about 12dpo?

hanflan · 16/04/2014 15:25

I think some people get BFP from FRER or CBdigitals at around 11 or 12dpo... it's risky though because it's far more likely you'll get a BFN and then want to POAS every day after that just in case! If you can hold out until AF is due then you'll save yourself a lot of money haha.

Nordicmom · 16/04/2014 15:50

Well frer says from 5-6 d before your missed period so depending on the length on your cycle ...cb say from 4 d before .

gennibugs · 16/04/2014 15:53

Hanflan you are right and my sensible head says the same - I will try my hardest. and get some frers as nordic suggest when the time comes!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 16/04/2014 15:55

Oh Linda gosh that's hard. I was in the same situ on dc4. I have to say it was the making of me Grin you get to do it your way without compromise. It's certainly not all bad. But despite loving my dc to bits I am pro choice. I hope you are able to hold her hand as and when she needs it. It can be a lonely time.

fancyacupoftea · 16/04/2014 16:06

Linda Do you have a regular 28ish day cycle? I didn't get a fixed smiley at all this month but only started testing on cd11 (because that's what the bastard leaflet on the bastardstick box told me to do) but my first test had the strongest line so now I'm convinced I missed the fucker WOE IS ME.

fancyacupoftea · 16/04/2014 16:07

That would make me 10dpo though now

lindamagoo · 16/04/2014 16:14

Fancy I seem to be 28 days 1 month then 30 days the next month so I'm due for a 28 day cycle this month. It's just so confusing

lindamagoo · 16/04/2014 16:17

Oh god yes MrsE, I will be there 100% for her either way but I don't think she's going to keep the baby, think it would just be too hard for her as she's already a single mum and has a few health issues. I'll go with her to hospital when the time comes and hold her hand all the way through it. She's heartbroken Hmm

MrsExtraOrdinary · 16/04/2014 16:20

Of course it's heartbreaking. So glad she's got you Thanks

kurama · 16/04/2014 16:24

Treaclepie19 · 16/04/2014 17:04

Blueberry, those aero's are really nice aren't they? I had one earlier :)
Oh no linda, I feel for you both.

CallingAllEngels · 16/04/2014 17:24

Congrats zermatt.

sorry to every one who af got today Sad

your poor friend linda.

Ordered some more hpts last night which should arrive tomorrow. Will I be able to get through the weekend without poas?

gennibugs · 16/04/2014 18:05

Can I say how lucky your friend is to have your support linda*

ItsChristmaass · 16/04/2014 18:08

Hiya all. Been away for a while trying not to think about ttc (harder than it seems lol) feeling very relaxed at the moment.
Congrats to all the bfps and sorry to those who are out this month.
I'm currently on 11dpo. Haven't had any symptoms at all other than quite a bit more creamy cm (sorry tmi) and on off cramps. Getting my usual snappy moments though so I feel like this won't be our month.

lindamagoo · 16/04/2014 18:23

Thank you genni, I'm just as lucky to have her aswell, I'm glad she felt she could come to me, must have been hard for her knowing I'm ttc and coming to me with this Hmm

MrsExtraOrdinary · 16/04/2014 19:22

Sorry just going off topic, but I'm going to burst if I don't tell someone! Can you just manage a smidgen of virtual excitement? Grin we've had an offer accepted on a house! ShockShockShock

I'm not telling anyone for fear of jinxing until we are much further down the line, as we've got to go through mortgage hurdle and don't want to count chickens, but I think I might spontaneously combust! Grin

RetroHippy · 16/04/2014 19:31

Now MrsE, I would like you to do something for me...

When you're all moved in and sorted pleeeeeeaaaassseee send me a photo of your sewing room/conservatory so I can quietly burst with jealousy. Thank you.

linda, what a horrible position for your friend to be in, and how lucky to have you. Bless her.

Treaclepie19 · 16/04/2014 19:34

Eee congrats MrsE :)

lindamagoo · 16/04/2014 19:37

MrsE that's fab news. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly Smile
