Coming off loestrin 20 how long does it take to come out of your system.

Please help. I've been on loestrin 20 for 17yrs without a break. Me and hubby are now thinking of starting to try but have a holiday this summer where I'd like to enjoy a vino, and really start trying - always easier without the stresses of work! My question is how long before should I come off the pill to make sure it's out of my system? So many different stories about how long it takes to come out of your system, anyone got any experience on this brand?

No experience of this brand but I got pregnant immediately after coming off the pill. My pregnancy was actually dated from 3 days after I took my last one.

I believe that fertility can spike after coming off of the pill so you may have a window there (i clearly did) when you would be v likely to get pregnant. Not sure if it would apply to loestrin but if so, id stop the pill a week before the holiday and have sex every 2-3 days.

The pill goes out of your system very quickly, but then your body may need some time to restart its natural cycles. It differs for every woman how long that takes, it can take a few months. I was on loestrin too and I got my first period after three months.

You're also not more fertile just after stopping, it's a myth. It all depends on when you start ovulating again. In addition, some women may have a thin lining of the womb right after stopping and sometimes it's recommended to let that build up first by going through a first cycle without ttc.

It's therefore best to stop a few months before ttc.

hello, I am wondering if anyone can help me because me and my partner want to try for a another baby this July after our son turns 2 , and we just want to know how long I have to wait to start trying when I come of the loerstin 20 pill.. just need someone to help and as well or do I need to talk to the nurse or a doctor.
