TTC1, cycle 4... am convinced this month will be the month. I have reduced my exercise (was doing tooooooo much before I think), eaten better (ish), drunk a lot less and relaxed more.

Anyone else in for some optimism?

BFP guarenteed sometime around 26th April Grin

Hey! Ttc#1, only second cycle but feeling hopeful! Am thinking of cutting down the exercise (if I can bring myself to!) How muchdo you currently do? I do a lot of running and do wonder what kind of impact this might have on ttc

Treaclepie19 · 11/04/2014 07:09

Me! Cycle 4 (officially) too. Determined this will be it... I hope TTC#1 also.

I was doing a 30 minute walk 6 days a week, plus 2-3 exercise classes and 2-3 5-10k hill runs. I have read various sources, some say you can carry on as normal with no effect and others to cut down by different amounts. Anyway, I felt like I was putting too much stress on my body and I also do a stressful job, so ihave cut down- am still walking 6 days a week but am doing an easy cycling session 2-4 times and 2ish yoga sessions a week now, and I feel a lot better for it. Also my ovulation symptoms have returned which were missing the last two months when I was exercising particularly heavily. But I am now covered in spotsAngry

For what it's worth, we tried for nearly two years (I'm 32 and DH is 40) and in the couple of months before I did conceive I started running round the park for just 15 mins in the morning, 2-3 times a week. I was fairly unfit before though and sounds like you guys are in much better shape. This will make me sound like a crazy hippy, but part of me believes being outside around the grass and the trees helped. I also finally went to the docs the month before I conceived and got initial fertility tests done, which came back OK and that relaxed me a lot. Getting pregnant is very psychological I think. The latent fear that there might be 'something wrong' weighs heavier on you than you think. My husband, however, disagrees with both of these points and maintains that I fell pregnant straight after be bought a 2 seater sports car (which he has now had to sell).

I'm hoping cycle 4 is it! I used to run 5 miles about 4 times a week and this month I have stopped. I'm going for a brisk walk about 3 times a week and it's probably 4 miles.
I'm finding it really hard, I am very jealous of runners in the park, I'm trying it this month and if it doesn't work I'm going to get back running, feeling flabby already, although that could be the extra food I seem to be eating now I have more time!

thisisnotanamechange · 12/04/2014 09:50

Well I am pretty sure I ovulated yesterday so jumped on DH even though we didn't get home til 1230 last night and had to be up early this morning. A few more days of shagging then I'll be well into the 2ww.

How is everyone doing? Has anyone taken any supplements to support fertility? I am taken a general pregnancy/conception supplement butbhave been reading about wild yams too? Has anyone heard about these?

can I join in? My af (or bfp!) is due around 17/18th April. I tested on 11th as I'm very impatient but it was bfn. It was a tesco own test, not an early one so I'm hoping I'm still in the running for a bfp next week!Smile

thisisnotanamechange · 13/04/2014 08:38

Welcome toothache! Here's hoping we all get our bfps! Have you been making any special efforts, apart from constant shagging obviously!

OP posts:
toothachereturns · 13/04/2014 15:41

Much to Dhs delight I'm opting for the "shag as much as possible" technique. He's always obliging. Grin

toothachereturns · 13/04/2014 15:42

I got another bfn this morning. Getting mild cramps too (af type cramps Sad ).

thisisnotanamechange · 13/04/2014 16:42

Aah toothache you're still in til AF shows! I have found myself far more disappointed the months I've tested early and had BFNs than those where I've just waited for af to show so try to avoid testing early now. However af is due 26th but I have booked a surprise weekend away for DH and I starting on the 23rd so would love to be able to tell him then I am pg....hmm couple of weeks to mull it over anyway. .....

toothachereturns · 14/04/2014 08:48

I agree, I'll to stop testing early next cycle and just wait to see if af turns up.

Fruityb · 16/04/2014 18:12

I'm on cycle 5 I think, and AF due tomorrow according to the app I've been using, but I've had cycles of 24-27 days since coming off the pill so I am thinking in the back of my mind that I also could be late lol.

I'm not feeling any period symptoms, and usually by now my boobs are rather painful. Nothing at the mo. Have been feeling sickly today and have noticed my patience level has dropped, but don't know if that's PMS instead! I've been on the pill since I was 20 and I'm just shy of 32 now so not used to it at the mo.

I'm going to wait till the weekend before I POAS. I did OPKs this cycle and everything has been done at the right times, ahem... So we'll see. If not, always next month :)

thisisnotanamechange · 16/04/2014 23:41

Good luck fruity! I'm 27 and been on the pill since I was 15, so not dissimilar. I came off in late september and cycles have been 31-33 days, with one freak cycle of 38 (sent me loopy! ). I have used opks this month, been doing lots of positive thinking and yoga to reduce my stress levels... here's hoping! !

I'm on cd29. My cycles used to be pretty text book 28 days. I'm officially late!!! But been doubled up with cramps since yesterday. Sad

thisisnotanamechange · 17/04/2014 10:50

POAS!

OP posts:
Fruityb · 17/04/2014 13:14

Well I had it again this month... I'm due AF today, and when I went to the loo this morning there was some pinkish blood in it. Cue tears for about twenty minutes, I mean full on sobbing!
I had faint cramps, not agony but I knew they were there. Anyway nothing else so far. No blood at all. I had this last month where on the first day I bled a little then nothing at all till the next day. My period was due today and I am quite in tune with my body so know when it's wanting to start. But never have I bled only a little before on day one, it normally wants to get out in 48 hours!
I think I'll see how we get on in the morning and whether it's worth POAS or not. I know it's possible to bleed and still be in with a chance. Not counting my chickens though.

toothachereturns · 17/04/2014 16:31

I'm def out..... about an hour after posting AF turned up. Sad Sad Sad Sad

toothachereturns · 17/04/2014 16:32

FruityB - if I were you I'd wait until tomorrow morning then poas if AF doesn't turn up with a vengeance. Good luck! Smile

thisisnotanamechange · 18/04/2014 13:24

Any update toothache?

OP posts:
Treaclepie19 · 18/04/2014 13:43

Just to update as I forgot I was on here! I have my BFP :) A little cautious still as its early days and I had some brown spotting but, definitely a BFP :)

thisisnotanamechange · 18/04/2014 14:02

OP posts:
toothachereturns · 18/04/2014 14:03

Congrats Treacle!!!!!Grin

I'm cd2 now... AF really heavy and cramps are horrible. I'm back in bed now after making lunch. DH better get me pg soon coz I ain't putting up with this every month. No pressure of course. Wink

Fruityb · 18/04/2014 22:10

Right onto the next for me too. AF now here though it's been spotting day one full on day two for the last two periods.

Onwards to next month! I think we missed the time a lot last month as I did OPK but we didn't DTD till 48 hours later, worked based tiredness not helped just lately for either of us! I cannot believe how upset I was when AF turned up yesterday. Shows how much I want this I think.

Think it's just going to have to be lots of sex this month lol!

Treaclepie19 · 18/04/2014 23:03

Thanks everyone. Good luck to you all! :)
