Hi all,
I'm new to all of this and having just had the implant removed trying to symptom spot for ovulation and wanting to get my periods back...I can't remember when I had them before so I'm looking forward to it all!

Anyway OPK today looks like this. Is this a positive?

Thanks in advance!!!

Is this the first OPK you have done this cycle? Ie is this suddenly a bit darker?

With me, I get faint lines which get darker quickly so for me, this test would be negative but about to go positive.
I think LH takes a few hours to reach urine so I would test again later tonight.

(It's best not to use first morning wee for OPK as most women surge in the morning and it reaches wee by mid avo at the earliest.)

This makes me sound obsessed - I am Grin

Hmmm ok, thank you. I have been testing since Monday (when my implant was removed) Monday morning there was no line (still had implant in) then nothing until very faint this morning, getting darker to this. Think I will test again tomorrow. :)
Thanks

Ok good luck. I never get a positive OPK till late afternoon so test twice a day.

Good luck!

According to the "key" on the back on my OPK's, it's negative when it looks like that (or just the control line). It's only positive when both lines are of similar darkness.

I've had my rod out now for almost 3 weeks but only been using OPK's for 2-3 days because it takes a while for things to start back up again.

This is "negative" as the line has to be as dark as the control line for a positive, however it does show that things are happening. Mine tend to get progressively darker so I'd be expecting a positive around the next day when getting a result like yours.

hi girls,

i am on my 5th cycle and bought some cheapy opks on ebay to try, i should have ovulated 2 days ago and have been poas twice a day once in the morning and once when i get home from work. i have had a couple that look like above but mostly nothing. my periods for the first couple of months were 26 and then the last 2 have been 31 - i thought i maybe ovulating later as my app has averaged it to 28 days.
can you just not ovulated but still get periods?

i do get pains sometimes and did really badly in the first 2 months but i had lots of cysts in the last 5 years (i did ask my doctors and she said there was no sign of pcos (or whatever it is) so don't know if it's cyst twinges or ovulating ones now)

help so stuck and worried!

Hi buddhabee. I didn't not want to respond but I'm not sure, sorry!

You can definitely have anovulatory cycles but probably not every month as far as I'm aware.

If it was me I think next month I would get the first response OPKs. If your cycle is 31 I woukd start testing on something like day 12 at 11 am and 10 pm. And test right through to day 30. Do that for a few months and hopefully you can learn about your cycle.
