Siblings age gap

This is probably asked here very often, but wanted to still run a quick poll... So, if you had all the control of spacing your DC, what would be the ideal age gap?
In my opinion ideally 2 years difference, anything more than 3 years seems like a big gap to me. But what is the general opinion?

Ideally 3 years. The thought of two under two, or close to it, makes me feel faint...

I think it's probably different for every family.

I had hoped for a 2 year gap but that point has been and gone now my body has different ideas. I have friends with 18 month age gaps and another with a 6 year age gap, both have close knit families and manage brilliantly. I'm not sure there is an ideal gap.

If I get my bfp this month there will be 16 months between them haha I must be mad !

I couldn't even contemplate having another until DD was nearly 3. We were hoping for a 4-year gap, however due to long cycles and a mmc we're now looking at probably more like 5 years.

Close to two years.

Although not intended this way,ds was a big surprise. There is 20 months between my children, although hard at first at 10 and 12 its great.

I've got three years and a month. Last year, when they were 4 and 1, was very hard. Too different in ability and interest, not helped by ds (4 yo) being very bored of nursery and more than ready for school (sept birthday). I used to be envious of my friends with smaller gaps and two babies or two toddlers or 2 preschoolers who were more able to do the same kind of stuff together.

5-7 years sounds good
