So I couldn't find a May thread, so I thought I'd start one for all of us who have dropped off the April thread.

Aunty arrived this morning so I 've just started cycle 4. TTC #2. Just had a long cycle so if this is the same length my most fertile time will be over Easter weekend.

So I might go all pagan and invoke some Spring fertility goddess. Or something. Or piss on some sticks.

Broody, yep mine have been all over the place since an early mc at the beginning of the year. Not seen a doctor yet, but we move back to the UK next month so will book as soon as I get back. Hoping obviously that i ovulate soon and won't need to!!

lindamagoo I am also curious about the cough syrup! When I first came off the pill a couple of years ago I had loads of ewcm around ovulation, but now I only have a tiny bit, if any! Thinking about chugging the grapefruit juice to help things along this month.

oh yes of course english I remember you saying you were coming home on April Bus. Well fx for you.. If it gives you hope I booked a docs appt to get period kick started and now it's turned up I said to dp it was the threat of the docs! :)

Hi ladies!! Am gonna need a seat on this bus - to the last stop and beyond if my current run of form continues! Stats: 31, ttc#1, cycle#2... First cycle was 98 days (came off ovranette in Dec!), am now on day 26 of cycle#2 and no sign of ovulating yet. Am getting VERY BORED!! Slow old process innit?! good luck all!!

hibou I know what you mean about dtd to order. I have been vague on purpose with DH but this resulted in us not dtd yesterday. I got a smiley sunday - dtd. Thought we could yesterday a.m. But didn't, was grumpy. Tried again last night but still didn't. When i say tried - I am not good at initiating, so can't really blame dh as he is in the dark somewhat. I obvs need to have a conversation with him (and try again tonight.....)

Crazy to think I came off the pill at 25 & earliest I'll become a mum is just before I'm 27!

My dp also doesn't understand the process...whilst he's at work, I text him a story & write it in a filmish way. His men are the heroes & have to break into the mother ship on the special day the defences are lowered...that day is ectoplasm....I.e ewcm. Now if I say ectoplasm, he understands!

Is it may yet? I've not even ov'd yet. Waste of an egg :-(

A bit disappointed but knows it's to be expected. Plus I am in a right quandary now as just seen an amazing job I want to apply for - which kind of throws the baby making into a bit of a tizz. I know it shouldn't matter but can't help feeling it does!!

I get 3 months pay maternity leave in my current role so staying put isn't an issue - but this other job is a corker - plus offers 52 weeks paid maternity leave after you've been there 26 weeks which is incredible!!!

Haven't even sent application off yet but full of what if what. Ifs. That said, I know I shouldn't put all eggs in one basket so to speak and I know fate will decide.

Anyway enough rambling... My stats are:

The couch bottle I took was Boots own chesty cough medicine but make sure it's the one with the only active ingredient of Guaifenesin The dearer version is called Robitussin

Nice to see this thread filling up.

Since starting this thread I've been sitting quietly on the back of the bus playing 2048 for the last week. Don't click on the link unless you want to lose the rest of your day.

Time to start shagging here if we can muster the energy. Haven't taken OPK yet, last month cycle was long (35ish days), but I don't want to get cought out and miss the lucky days if this one is shorter.

Unfortunatly I'm working nights this weekend coming, which is when I estimate I'll probably be ovulating. I've not been thinking about it as mmuch this month. I don't know why really, just have a feeling I won't be getting pregnant just yet.

Not only does this role offer 52 weeks paid mat leave but also option to have another further year although unpaid. Plus they have on site crèches and places to express and store breast milk if you are expressing. I know employers have to provide by law, but a company that advertises it as part of it's benefits , is pretty impressive.

Don't get me wrong, I am not unhappy in current role at all, would happily stay but this job is one that you dream about coming up and the maternity benefits - bearing in mind we have just started TTC is great.

But I worry, and feel I must temporarily put TTC on hold if I apply - and we've only just bloody started and I've waited so long to get to this point. Bugger!!!!!!

Sorry don't mean to send thread of on a different tangent. I'm so far ahead of myself, it's untrue. If it was for any other job I wouldn't bother and think I'm fine where I am ta very much. But this one is pretty good....

Brummie I completely understand I have been the same. There have been a couple of jobs that I would have liked to have gone for recently but decided againest it because I didnt want to loose any maternity benefits I have in the job ive been in for nearly 2 years. Plus I know that my boss would be very easy going once im pregnant and afterwards.

I let TTC win because to be honest id rather have a baby than a job!!
