Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

To test or not to test, that is the question!

Any advice gratefully received!

Currently 9 days late, no sign of AF but feeling generally achey and getting cramps. POAS three times since 2 days late (all in afternoon or evening, last time Sunday evening) and all BFN!! Been off microgynon since August an usually clockwork at 30 days, except feb that went to 36 days.

Anyone else had a similar experience? Should I test again or am I in denial and definitely not pregnant? Could this just be a horrid month where I have no AF but that is just a side effect of pill withdrawal.

Argh - how annoying for you!

I'd test again with fmu, and see how you get on. When I conceived, I didn't get my bfp until about 11 days after I was due on.

Perhaps you ovulated a little later this time?!

Good luck!

Thanks Cica. I almost don't want to test and feel disappointed again. I will try and hold on till Friday and if still no AF try testing again. Thing is, as much as my heart wants me to be pregnant, my head is telling me I'm not. Oooh, wish the stalk really did drop babies into cabbage patches, TTC is an emotional roller coaster! Smile

Let me know how you get on on Friday. Will keep my fingers firmly crossed.

It's frustrating isn't it. You spend so much of your life trying not to get pregnant then all of a sudden it's all you can think about!

Just to update, AF arrived today. At least I know where I am again and can look forward to trying again in May. Wishing I had stopped taking pill a long time ago. Looks like a 2015 baby for me...Fingers crossed! X
