hi just joined i really cant do this alone anymore need to talk to people like me ... here goes .. Me and OH have been TTC for 3 months now DTD almost every other day we don't see the need for OPK's and im am just fed up atm i want that BFP so bad its getting to the point im scared to do tests because i know it is a BFN and it always is plus my periods seem to be shifting around latley last month it started on the 16th when it was supposed to be the 12th which was so horrible for me because i did the test and it was BFN and i was in tears :( so this month it is nearing 16th maybe period will come on 16th maybe another date if it is still shifting around i am taking 2 folic acid tablets 2 evening primrose and 2 multivitamin and 2 vitamin c and zinc one pill of each one on a morning and one on a night with dinner also ordered OH some fertilman the other night and we are using pre seed lube and where using softcup's to keep the semen in me after but they leaked so not using them now.. anyway thats my story lol hope i didnt bore you too much ALSO has anyone bought clomid pills online ?? if i went to doctors am i old enough to be prescribed them im 20 OH is 27 i thought Doctor's only gave old women in there 30's fertility help but is it available for young women sorry if i offended anyone say they are old Blush

You may not get many sympathetic replies after calling women in their thirties 'old' and stating you have been trying for three months aged 20...

I wouldn't have thought at your age a GP would recommend anything other than to keep trying until after a year has passed.

Good luck!

broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 22:41

i apologies for the old remark it was aimed more at doctors picking and choosing who they treat at what age which i think most Do ?? i know it happens when it happens it can take a year ive read it all online :( i have a friend who is 18 and on her 2nd baby in less than a year the first is only just turning two how is it some people can get pregnant like that at the drop of a hat ?? Envy

OP posts:
broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 22:43

i meant the first is only just turning one not two lol and apologised not apologies

You are very young, you have plenty of time. Why the rush?

broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 22:55

Because it is the right time for us it's better when your young anyway i have bundles of energy and loads of time on my hands i want it now you only live once i can't stand waiting around for things it's time wasted IMO you just look back in regret when your older

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 07/04/2014 23:03

Why is it better when you are 20 compared to 30 or 40? Hmm

broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 23:05

any clomid stories/experiances anyone i really want to try some but scared of the genuinity of it if bought online and it causes ovarian cancer and multiples if used for more than 6 month Shock that scares me a bit, would the GP prescribe me clomid after a few more months i dont see why not if me and OH are a stable family and ready to start a pregnancy maybe if i offered to pay my own perscription ??

OP posts:
broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 23:08

it just feels better for me at this age i feel im at the right age to have children it's a different age for all women i guess

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 07/04/2014 23:13

Do a search for clomid and see what other people have posted in the past.
Don't buy clomid online it will prob be fake and it's not something you should ever self prescribe as its strong stuff.
Your dr will tell you to wait at least a year just have fun rather than stressing about it. It's normal for it to take a while.

woodwaj · 07/04/2014 23:17

You wont be given it if you have no need for it. The doc also wont see you till at least 12 months of trying.

I also wouldn't recommend buying it online either. I have been prescribed it (and I'm not 'old' so you can get it IF it is genuinely needed under 30) and the side effects are not fun. So I wouldn't recommend taking it when you don't need to

broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 23:17

i know but as my title suggests im broody haha :) just came on here to see if there are others in the same boat as me if there are they all must be offline ?? i have read stories online of people in the USA who have bought seemingly but questionable quality clomid and have have 4 at once shudder and stomach pains and cancer from OD themselves silly on the stuff i think i'd be sensible if i did order some your supposed to take for 5 days starting on the 5th day of your period for no more than 6 months if im right and it has to be 50mg no more no less unless prescribed by a GP and they say you can take more/less

broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 23:19

woodwaj what were your side effects on clomid is like having flu ive read online that one lady experienced flu like symptoms in which case i dont think DTD is that desirable Confused

OP posts:
Whenwillwe3meetagain · 07/04/2014 23:21

Seriously stop thinking about buying clomid online you are being irresponsible and impatient.

woodwaj · 07/04/2014 23:25

No its not flu like.

All im going to say is that if you do end up being in a position where god forbid you need help your doctor wont take you seriously if your self medicating.

Just buy some opks and have fun trying in between! !

Gemdar · 07/04/2014 23:26

Not usually prescribed unless TTC for 6mths - 2 years (depending on age) or if proven that you arent ov as you dont have periods.
Dont think its worth the health risks of trying without monitoring. Also specialist told me if youre ov naturally its not really worth it.
3 months is no time no matter how it feels trust me I know after 3 years...

Tranquilitybaby · 07/04/2014 23:37

Do you know you're definitely ovulating? Do you have symptoms. You've only been trying 3 months, just relax, perhaps try OPKs for a month and see how you go.

By the way, 30's isn't old thank you very much! :)

Tranquilitybaby · 07/04/2014 23:39

Plus you've said your cycles are that regular at the moment, so you may need to wait for them to settle down first before you concieve.

broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 23:41

periods dont have anything to do with ovulating Hmm a period is the lining of your womb coming away because it hasnt been used that month i was convinced at first because my periods are a little shifty at times that i wasnt producing eggs but OH laughed his head off at this and got me a book from the library on a woman reproductive system Grin sounds silly i know but its amazing how much i had forgotten from sex ed then again i was 11 at the time watching the teacher do horrible things to a banana with what me and my friends thought was a long balloon used for making animal shapes Winki have come to the conclusion my periods are iffy from me being on my feet all day cleaning going into town etc and not remembering to eat which drives OH mental lol but i can assure you periods or no periods has nothing to do with your eggs or how many you have or what eggs get dispersed etc :) and going to go to GP and see what he says may as well bite the bullet and just go already he can say yes/no and give us advice will phone this week as OH has day's off :) clomid is a maybe IF prescribed from a doctor i wasnt going to buy online anyway i was just questioning its saftey and quality obvs it is better to go to docs

OP posts:
Viasabat · 07/04/2014 23:42

Don't buy it online, 3 months is no time at all try 7 years!!

broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 23:43

As i said before OPK's are a waste of time and too much stress for us i have a big bag in the bathroom and they do nothing we DTD almost every other day so they arent worth the worry i have been checking for egg whites to indicate ovulation though had them twice so far :)

OP posts:
Viasabat · 07/04/2014 23:47

The doctor normally won't do anything, until you have been trying for at least 12 months.

broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 23:47

i know OH has decided we do it like rabbits take our vitamins and eat lots of meat and 2 veg Hmm a mans point of view lol he is still eating crap food and not exercising though his semen sometimes looks like egg white which is why i bought is fertilman vitamins the other day. im thinking of trying basal temping ? is it worth a shot im obsessed with weight gain atm and weigh myself everyday to see if ive gained any i'd give basal temping a try if it was any good

OP posts:
Sleepyhoglet · 07/04/2014 23:48

Why are opks a waste? They show when you are fertile. You don't need to Dtd every other day! Get an app like pink pad that will track your periods and when you are likely ti ovulate. Dh only Dtd during the fertile window and that worked 2nd time of trying.

Sleepyhoglet · 07/04/2014 23:49

We also used fertility lube and dh took wellman tablets and avoided hot baths.

broodyhen2014 · 07/04/2014 23:55

oh but we like doing DTD every other day its our exercise lol were always finding each other attractive if the moment is right then we DTD we sometimes skip a day if he's tired out from work and OPK's just worry me i think OH might have thrown them out he didn't like them one bit our how upset i got after using just 5 of them and they all came back BFN i was in a right state :( if your DTD everyday then chances are you catch an egg at some point ive come to see TTC as a game of fishing really lol its what it is basically you just have to get the hook (sperm) to the fish (egg) :) im weird i know ohh and i tried the app's ALL off them my iPhone nearly got chucked from the window Grin there no good if your irregular like i am sometimes they expect you to run like some clockwork robot and gave me a completely inaccurate calendar with 2 periods in one month also to much stress like the OPK's
