Help with understanding my BBT chart?

Hi there!

I am after some advice please. I have been charting my BBT for the past cycle and a half but I am still finding it hard to understand. Am I ovulating or not.

I am trying hard to not stress myself out over the whole TTC but as I approach 30 (this year ) it gets more and more frustrating and I just can't help but stress myself out over the fact that I may or may not be working properly if that makes sense?

I am just after some advice really on reading the chart and some reassurance that its normal.

Thanks so much for reading and answering!

Becky

Hi Becky, I'm afraid I can't see the chart really clearly, it's a bit fuzzy when enlarged. However, your temperature does rise higher during the second half of your cycle than in the first half, which would indicate that you have ovulated (I think on day 15). Your period should come 14-16 days after you ovulate. Do you chart cervical fluid or cervical positioning at all? I find this really helpful.

I also found Taking Charge of Your Fertility www.tcoyf.com/ really helpful. Best wishes

It's very difficult to see, but I agree that there is a temp rise visible. I think it's on cycle day 61? There is a spike on day 57, but I think you can discount that and if you do, there is a temp rise from day 61. Your baseline would be around 36.4 degrees and your temp stays above that after cycle day 61.

Thanks ladies for responding. Its been reassuring. Yes carolinementzer my period came 14 days after day 15 which would make sense. Hoping to see some sort of pattern over the next few months as I am only on my second cycle of charting! Fingers crossed :)

Are you taking your temperature upon waking, at the same time each morning? I've been waking up at odd times in the last month and it makes temping reliably impossible. I agree that if you discard the high temperatures on 57/58? you can see a possible coverline with higher temps after 61. The more cycles you track, the easier it is to see your own pattern.
