Sorry if this is really long to start with but I REALLY need help.
I've been ttc for almost a year now. My husband and I have a two year old. I've recently started tracking my fertility using an app about two months ago. I had sex almost every day on my most fertile days. My AF is always right on to the day that it's suppose to come! I am NEVER late. According to my phone my ovulation date was march 17. My LMP was March 3. I had BRIGHT red spotting for three days on march 27. It was extremely light and very bright, never changed color except on the last day it was dark brown which was on march 30. It completely stopped. I'm thinking it was implantation bleeding. I have been having sore boobs, lots of lower abdominal cramps, weird taste in my mouth and alot of discharge. I have taken SEVERAL pregnancy tests and they're all negative. Just wondering if any other moms have had positive pregnancy tests that just wouldn't show up until way late after there period. I have been reading some similar stories online but thats from years and years ago. I have an appointment for a blood test in a week and a half. According to my lmp I would be 4 weeks and 4 days. Thank you so much for reading this.

Hi Natalia, just a couple of thoughts:

  1. The bleeding you had could well be an implantation bleed. I had something similar in my last pregnancy. Implantation usually takes place 6-10 days after conception, so as it happened at roughly 10 DPO that's about the right time.
  1. The app on your phone can only tell you when you probably ovulate, going from the average cycle. You might have a slightly different than average cycle and maybe you ovulate a bit later. In that case, maybe your lack of BFP is because there just isn't enough pregnancy hormone present yet.
  1. What brand test are you using? Some are norotiously insensitive. First Response has a good reputation. If I was you I'd wait a day or two, then do another test using first morning urine.

Don't panic! When it comes to pregnancy there's a massive range of 'normal'. You may get a late BFP, I'm sure it happens to lots of people. And to be honest, there's nothing you can do for now. Just stay off the booze and see what happens Smile good luck!
