Hi all,

I'm new here and I'm on month 2 ttc #1. This cycle I used a Clear Blue ovulation predictor kit. I was under the impression my cycles were 33-34 days, so as instructed I tested on day 13.

It was negative on CD13 & 14 and it came up with a solid face on day 15 which shocked me as I thought I wouldn't ovulate until a lot later, and there was no flashing smily? Anyone else have this?

I dtd for 3 days after I got the positive, so in my tww now. Just confused as to why it came out positive so soon.

Would be interested to here if anyone else has similar experience?

x

You could possibly have a long luteal phase?

It's not that early! You got the solid on day 15, so you most likely ovulated on day 17. In a cycle of 33/34 days, that gives you a luteal phase of 16/17 days, which is absolutely fine.

You may have missed the flashing smiley, because you started testing quite late and you could have already had the rise in oestrogen, meaning the stick could not detect it. It detected just the rise in LH, which is why you got your solid straight away.

Thanks babyrose and blamber! Much appreciated.

I'm gonna do a HPT on Sunday. :)

Didn't have to test, AF arrived today. I must have ovulated earlier, 28 day cycle this month! How strange, it is always at least 30!

I have a short cycle (25days) but was still rather surprised to get a positive on day 8!!
