Tilly do the lines on the cb digi opk test strips mean anything? Do they get darker the closer to ov you are?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 04/04/2014 19:05

Cm question?! I think I may have ewcm?! But I'm only cd9 with my first flashy smily! It's my first cycle with faces Grin so if could do with some help. Will be dtd later obviously anyway with my new improved zinced up dh! Wink last cycle was 33 days and god knows if I was pg or not it's a mystery! Over to you! Grin

MrsExtraOrdinary · 04/04/2014 19:10

Oooo that's a good question Linda I was wondering about that!

Tilly28 · 04/04/2014 19:45

I have no idea! I had a little nosy at the stick when it came out of the holder today and it had 2 lines, one fainter than the other! Il keep an eye and see if they get darker as I get closer to ov and report back! :-)

KittyVonCatsington · 04/04/2014 19:45

I know that the instructions say not to look at the CB Digi lines, but both times I have had a solid smiley, the two lines were exactly the same dark colour. I've probably said this on another Bus but Feb cycle, I got 9 flashing smileys with FMU and on the 9th one, I noticed that the two lines were nearly the same colour. I don't know what made me do it but i tested again that afternoon at 4pm and I got a solid smiley and the two lines were exactly the same colour. Next morning, I tested again for curiosity and there was a circle only and the second line was non existent. That day, I did experience left ovulations pains and as we know,I did got a BFP that cycle.

Upshot of this is, I now check both lines on the sticks when I take them out Grin

Ok ladies. So I'm back after only a 24 hour break. I do really need you. I have been feeling really ropey for days, my mood has been up and down and absolutely everything is getting to me. I was talking to my DM today about some problems I've been having with my medical condition over the past few days and she said "your not pregnant are you?" I nearly crumbled on the spot.

Also nearly full on wet my pants this afternoon when I got home from the school run. As it was I just made it to the loo but I did have a little dribble in my undies! seeing this in writing has made me laugh but it wasn't funny at the time

I just plain feel rotten and am curled up on the settee with a hot water bottle, a blanket and a bottle of Merlot. My head is spinning with symptoms and worries and DH is at work till 2am.

Sorry, very self centred post from a very moody cow Sad

KittyVonCatsington · 04/04/2014 19:51

I too am in a blanket on the sofa, glass of Chardonnay, iPad and shit tv! We are not alone Grin. DH is away on a school Duke of Edinburgh expedition so just have you guys for company. It is a horrible waiting game, Poly but we are with you every step of the way (including the steps to the toilet!!!!)

Spotti · 04/04/2014 19:51

hugs< poly

PolytheneGirl · 04/04/2014 20:07

Thanks girls. Is p'ing your pants a SYMPTOM? I'm so glad I've got this bus. I could never tell anyone these things in RL.

lindamagoo · 04/04/2014 20:10

Poly I hope it's a symptom cause I've done it twice today Shock my oh said to keep it to myself next time, he doesn't need to know these things, lol

PolytheneGirl · 04/04/2014 20:14

Oh no Linda, how horrible for you. I don't think I'll be telling DH, I'd never live it down! Is that normal for you? I know it is for some women but it's never happened to me before. It's really freaked me out!

lindamagoo · 04/04/2014 20:23

Nope not normal for me but I'm putting it down to my very bad cough Smile af hasn't started yet though so "SYMPTOM?" lol. I tell my oh everything and I do believe he blocks most of it out Smile

kurama · 04/04/2014 20:29

so sorry linda and english that really does suck! i think i could be n the tww, but im not sure if ive even ov'd!!! so as i ran out of clear blue digi and ic cheapies so im still dtd every 2/3 days and bfp/af is due on 13th....
cant afford to get pissed just yet so i got a new tattoo on tue to cheer myself up Smile
on a different and slightly disgusting note, one of my cats decided to bring me his first proper "present" today.... ive had lots of leaves/twigs/small branches! but never a bird....till today! at least he left it in hallway and didnt put it on sofa!

PolytheneGirl · 04/04/2014 20:31

I'm normally very open with DH too but as he wasn't here I don't think he needs to know! I'm def marking it up as a SYMPTOM as it makes me feel much better about the whole horrible experience!

I think my DM is also symptom spotting and she doesn't even know we are ttc! Maybe she's caught my crazy!

lindamagoo · 04/04/2014 20:37

OH wasn't there the first time but he was the second so I felt the need to spill my guts, lol. Thank god for panty liners is all I'm saying Smile

MissMrsMummy · 04/04/2014 20:38

Just poas (sorry I know you told me to wait!) and it was definitely bfn. Which makes me think there really might have been a line before! DH could see it on a photo. Here is the photo. Don't laugh if you can't see the 'line' haha.

I will poas again in the morning with fmu and report back!

Not holding out much hope as feel very AF-y but who knows.

Hope you are all ok and happy hols if you've broken up today!

MissMrsMummy · 04/04/2014 20:40

Ps my evening poas was after drinks and prob not 4 hours.

Writerwannabe83 · 04/04/2014 20:40

kurama - when I very first got pregnant my cat, who I've had for 3 years, suddenly started bringing shrews into the house, killing them and then leaving them in my bedroom. She had never done this before!! Someone told me cats can detect pregnancy, something about smelling a hormone that pregnant women release, and as a result they start bringing in such 'gifts' in order to provide nourishment....almost like a mothering instinct. It lasted about 2 weeks and then she just stopped doing it - it was so bizarre!

Another possible 'symptom' to add to the list??

kurama · 04/04/2014 20:48

maybe, but i wasnt even home when it happened.... urgh. but to be fair ive also been feeling sick for past few days and boobs are already getting sensitive. but as ive only got 9 days to go its not that unusual. and the sicky feeling doesnt help as i feel worse after i cough which ive had every since that nasty bag 2/3 weeks ago might put it down as a symptom tho lol. the cat who normally only comes for a cuddle in bed is currently sat in front of me on sofa lol.

MissMrsMummy · 04/04/2014 20:48

Yes Kurama my friend's cat went ballistic when she was pg! They can detect the change in hormones or something!

MissMrsMummy · 04/04/2014 20:48

I mean Writer

PolytheneGirl · 04/04/2014 20:56

My cats are acting weird as well! They haven't brought anything in (they did do this after my DS was born, I kept finding dead things on his playmat/baby gym Shock ) but they have both been licking me (they have never done this before).

Writerwannabe83 · 04/04/2014 20:57

One of my cats never left my side when I was pregnant and was constantly sitting on my bump, it was like he was attached to it. Since I bought the baby home, whenever I'm on the sofa with the baby the cat jumps up and snuggles up as close to the baby as he can get - it's so cute.

I doubt he'll feel the same way in a few years though when the sweet little baby turns into a tail grabbing toddler Smile

PolytheneGirl · 04/04/2014 21:04

writer when I was pg my girl cat would sleep on my bump all the time but DS obviously cottoned on to this and eventually would kick her every time she did. DS is 3 1/2 now and today was the first time she has ever let him touch her!

My boy cat was very sweet when DS arrived and would sit outside our bedroom door all night and when DS cried he would too and we'd have to let him in to see everything was ok. I have a photo that DH took of me with a newborn DS on my chest 2 cats on my lap and all 4 of us fast asleep!
