I think kitty is right, you should test again in a few days missmrs and enjoy your hols.

MrsE hope your DS is better this morning, ive never been stung so it would scare me at 30+

Enjoy the wedding reception Kitty. We were out last night with friends and the usual questions of "when are you two going to have a baby?"

I'm out most of the day today as DH at work, so will spend most of the evening catching up on here seen as it moves on so quickly! I love that it's such a chatty thread Smile

lindamagoo · 05/04/2014 09:21

Aw MissMrs, sorry Thanks enjoy your break.

MrsE I would defo be having a word with the nursery about that Angry

lindamagoo · 05/04/2014 09:22

Hopeful that's right Smile

Treaclepie19 · 05/04/2014 10:02

Kitty, I say I will stop but thinking i may not have ovulated may distract me from the 2ww so i will probably carry on testing :p

MrsE, definitely have a word with them. Any kind of sting I would suggest parents collect as you never know how they will react to it. They should have a policy on it.

KittyVonCatsington · 05/04/2014 10:36

Hi HopefulMum! Yes, it is the day AF should rear her ugly head and when we might test (although some of us test a little earlier than that-slap on wrist!) Welcome!

lindamagoo · 05/04/2014 10:42

af is still a no show, I'm guessing I ov'd later than I thought Hmm

Nordicmom · 05/04/2014 10:45

Sorry about your bad news Christmaaas, I hope there's a way to work things out in the end ,please don't give up yet! Sorry about your friend Linda . Glad your DS is ok MrsE.
How odd but I have a slight feeling I'm going to ovulate on the right for the 3 rd cycle in the row ?! I used to be very regular in alternating I think at least since I can only feel the right one and in my scans the left does exist and seemed functioning in ivf treatment etc . Not sure if I should try this month since am so sick . Don't have a fever but everything else with this cold . Wonder if a virus could cause harm .
In any case cd11 I reckon and a bfn opk. I'm not surprised but have to start doing them sometime...

ZebraZeebra · 05/04/2014 11:41

Hi hi! Can I join please?

Period due Tuesday, have already done two tests like a dick

We have DS1 and I am still BFing, though definitely ovulating. Been unofficially TTCing for a few months. Unofficially in that we're not tracking ovulation but having lots of sex with no contraception. It's taking a while, which is nothing in comparison to some, but I'm having little bouts of disappointment and trying not to worry as DS was conceived first month. I'm 33 and just...worrying ever so slightly.

Apologies if this is a bit insulting to those who have been TTCing for a very long time Thanks Good luck to everyone!

KittyVonCatsington · 05/04/2014 12:04

Not in the least bit insulting, Zebra-the more passengers the merrier! A few of us on here are 33 as well so you are in good company Grin Do you know when you ovulate? I use Clear Blue Digi ovulation sticks and they have been helpful in telling me ovulate later (usually CD19)

PolytheneGirl · 05/04/2014 12:12

Hi. Welcome to all the new ladies. You're in for a helluva ride!

Thanks For MrsE MissMrs Linda and English I hope your all ok.

I poas this morning for the sheer fact that I feel so crappy. No surprises it was a BFN. No I just feel even crappier!

Stupid baby shower to go to tomorrow, with stupidly fertile pregnant women at every turn, probable all wanting to know "when are you having another one?" Humf!!

ZebraZeebra · 05/04/2014 12:12

Hi kitty - thank you for the welcome!

Ovulating around cd 12-14 so fairly average I guess. Cycle on average 27-28 days. DS is 18 months and he still has one BF at bedtime, sometimes one in the morning but rarely. I'm using the cheapo OV sticks and they indicated ovulation well last time so I figured they were ok to use again. It's so good you can see you ovulate a little bit later in your cycle!

Spotti · 05/04/2014 12:15

Sorry to hear about AF guys, and really sorry about your friend linda.

Welllll....we have an official foster doggy! Grin. She's lovely. Needs a bit of work, but I'm loving having two dogs in the house, and my lab x collie (Oscar) is enjoying having a friend 'sleep over'. If anyone wants a distraction from the tww, I can recommend these two - they're hilarious!

I'm not entirely sure whereabouts I am in my cycle purposely not keeping track but based on some of the more obvious signs, I'm post-OV now and just waiting to find out whether AF/BFP turns up...

Feeling more chilled this time. Will still be gutted if AF turns up instead of seeing two little lines on a hpt BUT at least I don't feel like I'm wishing my life away this time. The relaxed approach is definitely more relaxing. It's hard work to not be obsessed, but overall I'm feeling happier this month than I have been doing for the past few months. Fx relaxing helps!

(And if anyone saw my post about Sods Law and me finally doing the stuff I want to do, come on Sod, do your worst. Bring me my BFP. I dare you)

Starbright24 · 05/04/2014 12:21

Well..poas this morning and bfn after a few mins. A bit later went back to it and really thought I saw a blurry pink line. Took it to the window where i did see one but then I proceeded to watch it shrink and disappear. Now I'm imagining it being there still. Almost got my hopes up. Oh well. Af due today.

LemonDrizzler · 05/04/2014 12:31

Spotti I am thinking if getting a dog as have always wanted one and love dogs so much, but thought perhaps not a good plan if ttc. But then I am on cycle 9 now so if only we'd known we'd have had plenty of time to settle one in! Do you have dc already or do you know if your dogs are good with dc?

victoria401 · 05/04/2014 14:27

nordicmom I read somewhere on the ever right line that most women feel ov either mainly on the right or alternative sides. I however, just to be different, only feel the pains on the left! Never ever on the right. No idea what that could mean for the right! I had a scan a fortnight ago which show both ovaries exist and look normal thank god.

Hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start. I'm just pootling around the house sipping grapefruit juice waiting to seduce DH later after the final of the voice! let the smep cycle commence (cd8 today so long til my BFP!)

kurama · 05/04/2014 14:56

so sorry about your friend linda im on cd 22 now and still getting slight pains on left side. hope everyone else is doing ok. im having venison steak in pittabread and chambord liquier to drink for lunch before going back to work. Grin lol

kurama · 05/04/2014 15:03

hope i havnt offended any vegetarians... just needed a treat today

lindamagoo · 05/04/2014 15:42

kurama your lunch sounds yummy Smile We are having nachos whilst watching the grand national in a little while Smile I've just bought a double pack of FRER but can't bring myself to do one now Hmm

gennibugs · 05/04/2014 16:34

Hello all.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday!

I am Cd6 today so still at the start of this months journey. DH starts his new job on Monday so how much DtD we will manage this month is debatable -I don't want to put him under more pressure even though secretly I'd like to really go for it this month, but I know the first weeks in a new job are stressful and with long hours.

Am still eating for ENgland at the moment and can't even blame it as a symptom. I am going to really have to knuckle down and diet from Monday Hmm

lindamagoo · 05/04/2014 16:35

BFN

Metalhead · 05/04/2014 16:58

Sorry for your BFNs linda and poly (hope I haven't missed anyone). Hope AF stats away for you Starbright and you'll get a clear BFP next time you poas.

My first 2ww after mc starts today. Hoping the potential of a new job will keep me distracted from symptom spotting too much...

PolytheneGirl · 05/04/2014 17:13

Thanks Metal it was actually too early to expect to see anything though. Good luck with your tww and your job prospect. When's your interview?

Spotti · 05/04/2014 17:13

Lemon - both of our dogs (mine and the foster Support Dog) are Labradors, or Lab Crosses so are pretty docile and loveable anyway (cannot recommend Labs enough, LOVE them!) so if you're looking at dogs, you know which type I'd choose! Not tested C (foster dog) with kids yet, but apparently she has been living with young teenagers for the past year or so, so should be ok around them...obviously littlies/toddlers are a whole different ball game, but O (my pooch) has been brilliant with my 3 year old nephew - he comes to call in the park when L shouts him (it's soooo cute to see) - and he has seen my 5/6 month old neice, and apart from being really interested in sniffing her car seat, he's been fine. I actually can't wait to get pregnant and introduce O to the little one...I think he look after any baby like a puppy even though he's a boy dog. He's such a softy and I think he will love having kids around Smile although I've already 'child proofed' him, just in case, by getting him used to someone grabbing his tail, pulling his fur, playing with his lips etc...he took it all in his stride and actually seemed to enjoy the attention!

So yeah, Labradors all the way!

Where abouts are you based? I train horses and dogs for a living (well, alongside working part time in a cafe) so if you needed a hand and you're not too far away...you know where I am!

With regards to having a dog before/after a baby, my OH wanted to wait until after but I convinced him that before was better idea as even if I was to get upduffed tomorrow, we would still have 9 months to settle the dog and train them up to be well behaved around kids. O came into our lives back in September (before we decided to TTC) and we haven't looked back since :)

spinningirl10 · 05/04/2014 17:22

Hi, I thought I'd posted this morning but I can't see it!

Sorry Linda for the bfn, I've also just poas and got a bfn, not even a hint of a line!!

MrsE, Hope your son is feeling better today, I would have been cross that they hadn't removed the sting!

PolytheneGirl · 05/04/2014 17:50

So tomorrow I have to go to this stupid baby shower, which if you hadn't already gathered I'm not looking forward to. I'll be 11dpo. Do you think I should poas in the morning? I know I'll be really happy to go as well as just being ecstatic if I get a BFP and I'll really enjoy it. If I get a BFN I am probably going to be even more miserable.

I don't know what to do for the best or even if I'd get a BFP this early. If I get a BFN at 11dpo would it be a definite negative? Someone tell me what to do.....?
