Hi everyone, Hope you done mind me posting this here as Im not a regular but thats only because I never get any time on here with DH and his daft games he plays.

Just wandering if its possible I could be feeling ill because Im pregnant. I have been feeling sick day and night since CD28. Ive been sick about 3 times and been close more than I can remember but not actually sick. I find it weird I feel sick day and night. Ive tried loads of stuff to help but nothing does.

Anyone else been sick right from the start or a pregnancy or could it be something else. Ive also had heartburn loads more than usual.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance

I've been sick right from the start of all three of my pg's i get morning sickness even before a pos pg test, and yes both day and night. I ended up in hospital twice with morning sickness with last pg and due to the bad morning sick the second time i was in hospital i was only 7 stone and 5months pg, worring at the time but then it went and had a 8lb 14oz baby boy! going on abit soz

Do a pg test just to be sure! and keep us posted!

Natty1806 · 18/08/2006 08:20

Have you done a test?

Babymad4num3 · 18/08/2006 08:24

when?

Babymad4num3 · 18/08/2006 08:25

dont mined me!!!

sofarsogood · 18/08/2006 11:09

Not tested yet. I cant afford to buy a test as they are so expensive and both me and my husband are out of work at the moment. I keep meaning to go to the doctor but I never get round to it with feeling so sick. I know I should do.
And DH should be back in work as of next week so we will have more money soon. Not sure what to do as its hard to justify spending a tenner on nothing and DH doesnt think I should waste money on a test. Guess I should get my ass to the docs, easier said than done though.

Sorry for waffling and thanks for replying.

Sofa you can get one from bodycare for 99p at least you will have a answer then

liquidclocks · 18/08/2006 12:58

Sofar - could you go to a drop in family plannign clinic- I know some areas have them and some don't, thought it might be worth mentioning. Also if you're not sure stop taking any meds you might have been (that don't say - 'do not stop taking without consulting your doctor' of course) especially anything you've been taking for feeling sick. My practice nurse did a pg test for me and didn't even need an appt to see her, just rang reception explained I thougth I might be pg and they just said to come in asap. hth.

Thanks guys. I dont know what to do as I should be taking my malaria tablets today and Im guessing they are one of the tablets that shouldnt be taken if your pregnant but what if I get malaria if I dont take them? Im really stuck as I have no way of making phone calls as I have no credit on my pay and go mobile and have no home phone either. And I feel to sick to get to a pay phone.

Really dont know what to do. DH doesnt think Im pregnant so I cant ask him to go buy me a test. And if I manage to get out I need to get to the city centre for body care and DH will want to know why Im going out if Im not well.

O what mess!

sofarsogood...I would visit GP asap before taking any malaria tablets...and if you are taking those you are probably flying etc.. always best to know so that if you are pg you know if you are poorly it would more likely due to MS and not anything else.

liquidclocks · 18/08/2006 19:35

Ask your DH if he remembers having sex with you, then ask him if he remembers his biology lessons at all! I think you'll find that any of his litle swimmers made it up there then there's a possibility you're pg!

Check the leaflet in your anti-malarials but if you do think you might be pg you need to go to docs asap - but also occured to me that one of the side effects of some anti-malarials could be sickness?

sofarsogood · 19/08/2006 02:58

I will try pop in to a shop tomorrow and get one but will be with a cousin who doesnt like babies and children so dont want her to know just yet.

Ive been on holiday and started taking the malaria tablets on the 7th of July, have to take them a week before, every Friday during the 3 week holiday and for 4 weeks after so have another 2 weeks of them. I guess I might have felt like this when abroad but put it down to the heat and a dodgy stomach from the new type of food I was eating.

I might see if I can get a 99p test just in case but yeah I think it could possibly be the tablets. Will look at leaflet, thanks.

Id rather it meant I was pregnant though!

sofarsogood · 19/08/2006 11:58

I will post the result but if it isnt for a few days its because I havent been able to get a test. Will get one as soon as I can. Might be Monday though before I buy it so might be testing Tuesday. Im a little worried as Im going to try one of the 99p ones and Im worried because its cheap it might not be so accurate. Sill I know.

How close are you to your a&e? Just thought might be worth you popping in there because of the potential conflict/side effects of your malaria meds, the longer you leave it the more potential fro damage to any embryo. sorry to be this harsh but surely it's not worth taking the risk? Also you could explain your financial situation plus DH not being particularly helpful ad and the should be quite understanding. From what I've read thoug with pg tests you can get a false negative butnot a false positive so if you do one and get a positive you will know for sure.

laughalot · 20/08/2006 13:53

Hi sofa just to say I used the 99p one and it did give me a positive result but I dident beleive it so bought a more expensive one whichsaid the same thing but they do work, good luck xxxxx
