Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Mini hooya Zyla, I'm already stressing though and I'm only 1dpo... Grin

Hope you have fun tonight La. I'm sure a sneaky couple of drinks won't hurt Wink

hotcrossbabblehag · 17/04/2014 18:19

zyla hooya!!! wait and see if AF arrives don't poas just yet !!! (fingers secretly crossed for you though)

lala hope you recover really quickly, maybe the horse knows something you don't? animals are really intuitive, all three of my cats legged it out of the house this morning about a minute before the quake hit, I only know this because two jumped from the windowsil nearly onto our heads!. Dp is a keeper though, I'm really luckySmile

ZylaB · 17/04/2014 18:30

Thanks guys, I know DH will tell me I've got to just chill out and wait, but he's not home yet, so thanks for that in the meantime :)

Wilhelminand · 17/04/2014 18:55

Oh the TWOT is the worst part of all this by far. I'm quite pleased mine is over for a couple of weeks. Good luck girlies.

Jeez Babble, that sounds like a busy family. Nice you get on with your step children so well, especially in the circumstances.

We've been away for a couple of days and I'm so tired. Cannot wait to get into bed tonight.

hotcrossbabblehag · 17/04/2014 19:49

Oh I wouldn't say its busy per se wil its a bit more expensive at Christmas as 3 out of 4 have children of their own. A lot of time is spent on Fb checking they are OK, especially around anniversaries of their mum.
Ds1 has spent the majority of this evening inventing reasons why he's trolling ds2, I can see a computer ban about to happen, and ds3 is late for bed eeekkk damn mumsnet!!!! bbl

lala5 · 17/04/2014 21:06

Witch just got me Sad

RPopz · 17/04/2014 21:53

Sorry Lala Sad Good excuse for another Scottish tour though! Hope you're okay xx

lil1ady · 17/04/2014 23:05

oh lala Thanks

hotcrossbabblehag · 17/04/2014 23:22

oh no lala Sad Wine

Minion · 18/04/2014 05:11

Truly sorry lala

lala5 · 18/04/2014 06:27

S'alright, blooming babies. That's it next month we're doing every day!

lala5 · 18/04/2014 08:00

Bugger the opks it means they were totally wrong! Said I'd ov on Sunday but it must have been thurs/Fri before. Just shows JSing is the best! Grin

lil1ady · 18/04/2014 08:23

lala i don't think u could have ovd before a pos opk. could u have a short lp? if its less than 10days that could cause problems. not trying to worry you, but might be worth sticking with the opks to see if there's a pattern. xoxo

Minion · 18/04/2014 08:44

lala, Lil is right.
Can you count back from yesterday (1st day ertd) to when the opk showed a very dark like, then add roughly 24 -36 hours on (as the opk shows positive before you ice), then see if it tallies up?
That'll show your luteal phase, typically 14 days or round about.

ZylaB · 18/04/2014 09:35

lala so sorry to hear that. Next month!!!

Wilhelminand · 18/04/2014 09:37

I'm sorry Lala Thanks. I read that if a couple have no fertility issues, then the chances of them getting pg each month is 20%. As depressing as that is, it means your opks aren't necessarily wrong. I want to aim for every day this cycle though just to see if it makes a difference!

hotcrossbabblehag · 18/04/2014 10:13

Hope your feeling better this morning lala.

according to my app I should be ovulating tomorrow, so I starting with the opk last night and had 1 faint line and 1 darker one this morning just 1 dark line, we haven't humped for 2 days, (dp has a lower drive than me) have I missed the window??

Woke up to another sodding earthquake, a bit bigger than yesterdays and I swear the ground was still shaking for a while after.

Was hoping to hump this morning but the early morning wake up call meant ds1 is awake, we don't hump while he's awake cos he's nearly 12 and he's not daft and will know what's happening. so earliest I'll get any ROCs off is tonight... hopefully Sad

RPopz · 18/04/2014 10:46

Is AF earlier than you were expecting then La? Wine and Thanks for you.

I read that statistic too Wil, shit isn't it!

Wow Babble! Ttc is complicated enough without a 12 year old to contend with as well!! Grin

lala5 · 18/04/2014 11:34

Totally confused now - will just keep dtd and see what happens next month. If I ov earlier or later it was still in same time we were JSing so must just not be our month.

Earthquake sounds scary!

DulcetMoans · 18/04/2014 12:03

Aw sorry lala. What a pain! Hope you are treating yourself to a chocolate egg to help you feel better!

What's with the earthquakes babble?! Saw on news again this morning.

(Hopefully I have got my old identity back now!!)

OP posts:
hotcrossbabblehag · 18/04/2014 12:14

I have no idea!! I'm just hoping there isn't any more! they are getting stronger!

RPopz · 18/04/2014 18:00

Twotty twotty.

REALLY fancy a glass of wine but this is totally the wrong time of the month right.....?

DulcetMoans · 18/04/2014 20:06

Do it popz! Relax a little (in moderation! Lol).

OP posts:
Wilhelminand · 18/04/2014 21:54

I hope you had the wine Rpopz. Can't keep putting our lives on hold 'just in case'. I am a little bit hammered but only on cd7 so figure it's safe enough. May attempt a drunken cape escapade when I get home.

lala5 · 19/04/2014 06:59

Have the wine RPopz!

I'm having a very baby focussed weekend - dinner last night with my mate who's pregnant with twins after 15 ivf attempts and another friend who has just had 1st ivf attempt and it failed so she was downing shots like they were going out of fashion. Could have been awkward but it was lovely - they are besties and totally supportive of each other. Today I'm visiting another friend who recently had twins and tomorrow another friend who just had a baby Grin

Happy Saturday viroids! ERTD is killing me - painful and swollen, feel like Shit and dhs response is 'oh well we'll try again next month'.

And so we will...
