Going for Baby number two

my partner and i have decided to try for baby number two!
now my thomas is only 5 months old.. so i know you are all going to say that i am mad, but we want to have 3 children very close together to minimise time spent out of work for me. although i have returned to work with thomas we couldnt afford childcare for more than one.

anyway what i came on here for was to ask if anyone had had babies so close together following c-section?

DS is 20 weeks... id love to try for another! AF hasnt arrived yet, so, I guess Ill have to wait awhile! Good Luck! xxx

i'll bump this for u cos i'm interested to know too.

I so want another baby. DS is 6 mth and i had c-section too, but i also have pcos and it took 4 years and clomid to concieve ds so not holding my breath that it'll happen anyway, but i know it can and without help.

dont know about having close after c section but my mum had cs with my sisters and they are only 15mths apart....not mad by the way as I have a 2.10yr old a 8mth old and am 18wks pg...lots of luck

Nattyandthomas I am pregnant with no 2 at mo. There will be 13ish months between my two and had a c section. Didn't expect to fall so quick as was bf but fell when ds was 4 months.

Saw the consultant at 8 weeks and plan is for me to try and have this one naturally, but go back to see consultant again at 36 weeks to see if this is still the plan.

So far scar holding up ok (I hope!!) am 28 weeks now feel very tight round scar come the evening though. Going to midwife tomorrow so am going to ask about that but sure everything is ok.

Good luck with trying, do not think you are mad at all, two babies close together sounds good to me!!

I didn't have a c-section but just wanted to say that 15/16 months is a wonderful age gap! go for it!

My DD who was delivered by c-section (breech) was 4mths when I got preg with DS who was also delivered by c-section. There were 13mths between them and I didn't realise how difficult it was having two so small until it got much easier. Having said that they are very close and enjoy each other's company. Good luck.
