Hi Babymad- I read etc that it aids the production of EWCM and this in turn, of course, helps the sperm travel to the egg. Someone else may no more as I haven't tried it- considering it though if i fail this month. Good luck- looking forward to learning more- already learnt so much on here!!!

Yes it works, the active ingredient guaifenesin (expectorant) I think its called, used it myself, did notice an increase, but used it with some vitA and betacarotene so not sure if it was the combination...there is a book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler, she explains all of it. Worth getting the book, she makes a lot of sense about the bigger picture iykwim. HTH.

Hi Mum2- thanks for that- will give it a go. Any ideas how much to takeand is it just up to ov or for the whole cycle?
Have heard quite a bit about that book- all pos, so I think I'll get it myself now I know it's not just hype. Cheers!!!

Andi - just happended to be reading the book and thought I'd let you know that Toni recommends 2 teaspoons, 3 times a day around ovulation (sorry to be vague - I guess it differs from person to person depending on fertile quality CM). The book has taught me tons of things I did not know and is really interesting, I can recommend it.

Babymad4num3,

this stuff definately works as I tried it last month and it did increase ewcm. I used a cough bottle called Robitussin(red box for chesty coughs). This containes the ingredient guaiphenesin, and you can buy it over the counter. Just make sure you get the right one as Robitussin manufacture a few cough bottles, and some have extra ingredients that can cancel out the effect. hope this helps
