Congrats jo!
Anyone else had friends doing Aprils fools of FB saying hey were expecting? I know it was a joke but kind of felt a pang of jealousy. I'm mad!
Cd6 now and so waiting to see how my body is this month as first cycle since DD. No idea how long my cycle length is etc etc so hoping I can catch OV. Going to be symptom spotting like crazy!
Hope everyone is well!

lindamagoo · 01/04/2014 20:29

Chance would be a fine thing but I can dream can't i, lol

MrsExtraOrdinary · 01/04/2014 20:32

Really hope you haven't got the dreaded bug. That's the pits when you've got little ones poorly too Sad

Jo178 · 01/04/2014 20:32

I almost threw up this morning eating a banana, just the smell made me heave. Had to chuck it.
Hope we have loads more BFPs for everyone. This board has kept me sane when I was stressing about my late ov and short LP.

Hazelbrowneyes · 01/04/2014 20:35

Congrats Jo!

Bored tonight so doing my new favourite thing...voting on caniseealine.com Grin

LemonDrizzler · 01/04/2014 20:36

Sorry you're poorly Linda - hopefully it is indeed a symptom!! Congrats Jo!

I am very late to the bus and have completely missed the stats...

lindamagoo · 01/04/2014 20:36

I really hope I'm not getting ill, I can't handle it as well as the kids, they are wee troopers when they are poorly, although this is the worst I've seen ds, tonsillitis is a nightmare, on the plus side he just ate a few grapes, all he's had since last week

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/04/2014 20:37

Congratulations Jo!! First bfp on the 1st!!

Don't apologise MrsE, I think in hindsight we'd all have started earlier. I for on would definitely have had loads!! But for now i can't think beyond just the one. In an ideal world, i'll pop 3 out in quick succession though!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/04/2014 20:39

Lemon, what are your stats? I'll add them next time.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 01/04/2014 20:49

I hope he's better soon Linda, dd had her tonsils and adenoids out at 3yr. But the plus side is she was never ill at all after that.

I've been reading up on girl/ boy sperm etc, as you do when you casually glance over at 4 sons. Blush I accept a lot of it is mystic meg wooden spoon under the bed etc, but have read some really interesting info. Apparently boy sperm are weaker than girl sperm. Girls are quite robust. Apparently if you conceive while bfing you are statistically more likely to have a dd. well this is exactly what happened with me. The only time I had a dd was while I was bfing ds. Unfortunately I can't mirror that situation this time around. But a calcium rich diet is more girl sway. I'm now steering clear of potassium and red meat too. Vegetarians have more girls than boys.

Really I'd love a boy just as much, I'd just love to do that pink dress thing again. Dd doesn't even own a dress anymore Sad

Jo178 · 01/04/2014 20:50

Oh it's awful when they're poorly. My DD has had tonsillitis 8 times since last July. We have a referral to ENT at the beginning of May. Hmm

PolytheneGirl · 01/04/2014 20:51

Don't apologise MrsE you count your blessings and I'll count mine Grin It sounds like you've worked hard and been through a lot to get where you are.

I was very ill having DS, had a very stressful pg having lots on lots of procedure done on my eyes and have been left with my visual impairment but he is so worth it and I'm in no doubt about having another one, even if they can't tell me if I'll have problems again.

PolytheneGirl · 01/04/2014 20:57

Sorry your feeling poorly Linda I've got a gippy tummy too (other end- sorry tmi)

I've just had a stabbing pain really low in my tummy and masses of creamy cm today. Is it too early to mean anything 6dpo?

Oh and both my cats have jumped on me this evening and have licked me, which is very unusual! Do they know something I don't?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 01/04/2014 21:00

Poly I read about that complication. Gosh what a stressful time it must have been. Is there anything you can do to combat against it this time around? Or is a case of better care. Clearly they will monitor you v closely.

I've decided if we are successful this time I'll be hiring an independent mw. Last time was complete failing of nhs in my area. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford it. Not taking any chances.

KittyVonCatsington · 01/04/2014 21:01

Congratulations Jo!

I'm going to put a damper on things I'm afraid, but I have to calm down and get perspective. This is going to be a long one ladies, with some TMI. You have been warned!!!

CD 35 for me, first after early m/c, with a late ovulation so about 7dpo. Normal cycles 30 days but early m/c happened on CD35 last time so not a good day!

This morning, I had what was the biggest glob of creamy cm in the toilet with a lump of bright red blood in it. Freaked of course, but there was nothing else there when I wiped. About lunchtime today, went to the toilet and small amount of dark brown discharge. Got home today and it is more AF like but the darkest of dark brown still. I have absolutely no AF symptoms; no achey back, cramps etc. that I always get, even when on Pill. Do have a hard stomach but that is it. Am flittering between this is a super clear-out after early m/c and this is an AF of sorts, or it is a wierd implantation bleed. I. Just. Do. Not. Get. It!!!

Jo178 · 01/04/2014 21:01

Poly, I had loads of creamy cm and diarrhoea (tmi) also from about 5dpo!

Jo178 · 01/04/2014 21:04

Kitty you're not out til AF turns up in full force! I spotted all day yesterday from very early in the morning, also very dark brown.

KittyVonCatsington · 01/04/2014 21:07

That's good to know, Jo! When you mean full force, should I be watching for it to turn red?

PolytheneGirl · 01/04/2014 21:08

Don't get my hopes up Jo. it's too early! please please please let it be my month

MrsExtraOrdinary · 01/04/2014 21:08

Kitty are you sure you oved 7dpo, I have had strange ov bleeds occasionally. But yes could quite possibly be implantation. I guess it's a wait and see job. which is the last thing we all want

KittyVonCatsington · 01/04/2014 21:14

Not completely sure, MrsE- I had a solid smiley on a CB OPK 10 days ago, but the stick looked flooded when i took it out and this was cD25. Three days later I got my usual ovulation twinges on my left side so thought that was when it was-but I could be wrong! I just have not understood anything about this cycle to be honest and I hate not being on control!!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/04/2014 21:15

Implantation is often dark, almost brown kitty. Fingers crossed for you

KittyVonCatsington · 01/04/2014 21:15

Jo-can I ask how heavy your spotting was yesterday. You don't have to answer!

LemonDrizzler · 01/04/2014 21:19

Fingers crossed for you Kitty. Hope you can sleep and it will have stopped in the morning. Have you tested?

Not sure what my stats are now - ttc#1 cycle 8/9 but first after early mc. Do I get to restart the clock?!

PolytheneGirl · 01/04/2014 21:20

Sorry MrsE completely missed your post. I've had a hell of a lot of treatment since DS was born and my eye condition has now been stable for 18mnths in my left eye and 6 months in the right so I feel like I'm about as ready as I can be in that respect. The nhs was great with my eye stuff when I eventually got to see someone which was at about 20wks but I had been trying to get help from 8wks.

NHS maternity was a completely different story! Terrible doesn't cover it!

I have been very lucky with my treatment as I am able to get a fantastic but horrible treatment that is only available in 2 care trusts in the uk (or was when I started on it)

Did your poor care contribute to your complications?
