Gonal f or menopur with pcos ivf

I have used menopur twice for ivf and got 7 and 4 mature eggs.
Have people had more success with gonal f - more eggs better quality?

I also have PCOS and on my 1st round of IVF used Menopur. Got 3 eggs. Whoop dee doo.

Next time I was switched to Gonal F and ICSI, got 9 eggs, 7 mature, 5 fertilised and 2 put back. I have my 3 month old wriggly baby son on my lap as I (try to) type.

I read Gonal F is better for PCOS as it is 100% follicle stimulating hormone, something we are pretty low on. Menopur is a 50/50 of FSH and LH.

Menopur also makes you bruise like a bitch and it toughens your skin, Gonal doesn't.

Were you on long protocol?
Did you use any lh at all or just the gonal f?
Did you alternate doses?
I was on 75/150 both times
Your second go sounds a lot like my first 10eggs 7 mature but only 2 fertilised and put back, 1 took.
The fert rate was much higher though but thats probably as OH count is very low.
How did the ones not put back do?

Not sure - I had to sniff the down-reg drugs on Day 21 of my cycle onwards, I'm not sure if that's long or short protocol though....

I was on just the Gonal F which is pure follicle stimulating hormone, from very hazy memory I think I was on 175 a day and the dose was the same each day. I progressed well and stimmed for about 10 or 11 days before triggering.

The remaining 5 continued to grow until 4 just stopped, unfortunately whilst number 5 had reached the freezable stage was deemed not strong enough to withstand either the freezing or the eventual defrosting so sadly, nothing on ice for us as a sibling would have been the plan.

Im sort of thinking a mix may be right to get a little bit of LH but not a lot

HELP! Does anyone have some Menopur I can buy off them today/ tomorrow? I am in Canterbury I can drive anywhere in England with cash if we can agree a price. I am undergoing fertility treatment from a clinic in Spain. They sent me a prescription which Asda got for me but today the clinic has emailed asking me to increase the dose even though I have explained you can't just pop to the chemist & buy it off the shelf especially when it's a bank holiday week-end!! Pretty desperate as have spent a fortune & will miss my window if I do not increase dosage. Please contact me if you can help a woman take her last shot at getting pregnant xx
