Anyone who's conceived over 35, how long did it take you to get a BFP?

3 months at age 39 (1 month at age 32)

mrsnec · 06/03/2014 15:23

4 Years.

eurochick · 06/03/2014 15:23

3 years (starting just under 35, getting BFP just before I turned 38, with the help of IVF). No cause was found for the delay.

10 months so far for me and no luck yet. (36) My sister had two happy accidents after having sex once each time, aged 37 & 39!!!

Jeezimacasalinga · 06/03/2014 19:12

1st month at 32 and 34, 2nd month at 37....idly wondering how long it would take now (at 40).... Good luck!

dottyaboutstripes · 06/03/2014 19:14

At 36, one "what the hell?!" on cd6 and surprise bfp 3 weeks later
At almost 39, 3 cycles

HungryHorace · 06/03/2014 19:38

At 35, 5 months.

At 37, 3 months (probably helped by post-birth fertility!).

crazyhead · 06/03/2014 21:15

34 first month, 36 first month, hope you are as lucky as me!

Pickles79 · 06/03/2014 22:39

1 go at 35. 3 cycles at 40.

Greenrememberedhills · 06/03/2014 22:50

18 months at 38 and 40

I was 35 when pg with dd2. After messing around for 6 months, and not taking it too seriously, used a CB ovulation stick, and bingo, first time.

I'm 36 and ttc my 3rd. I got pg at 22 and 25 really quickly. I fear it may not happen that fast 10 yrs on! I'm reassured by some of the posts here. I've only been ttc for 5 weeks so far. Patience is a virtue I will no doubt learn over the next few months. Good luck. Smile

Pickles79 · 07/03/2014 00:36

I got pregnant within two months of trying at 23 and 24 so know how you feel!
I've not been ttc long this time but every month I'm gutted and wonder if I've left it too late and am too old :(
