Hi All,

I've been away from the board as I've had a few months on Clomid which didn't work and am know on my first ccle of IVF (ICSI).

Been for my first follicle scan today, and was devastated to be told that the biggest one was 10mm with the others at 7 - 9mm. Apparently they should be at 13mm or better. So, my Menopur has been increased for the next three days and I have the next scan on Monday. If no improvement then they will abandon the cyle and there is nothing more to be done until i lose yet MORE weight.

Can anyone give me some hope?

I know this news is devastating but they will do all they can to help you. It may be that your follicles really grow after the next 3 days from them increasing the Menopur. Just wait and see, you may be pleasantly surprised, I do hope so.

Please don' think i am being rude but am curious as to why weight would have an impact on the size of your follicles? Am i being thick?

Fingers crossed they grow in the next few days for you. x

Hi Natty, it's because the more fat you carry in your body the less drug can be absorb. And thanks for the boost SKBF, am trying to stay positive, but it's hard.
