Hi everyone. I suppose I was actually only "trying" for 2 months but felt like forever as I waited 6 months for af to return from breastfeeding.
I watched for EWCM and aimed to bd during that time. Dh was not always a willing participant so was happy if I got "peak" day!
The month we conceived assuming I ov on the Wed we did it the previous Sat, Mon and Wed (but actually didn't think I had that month as CM seemed to thick). We did it doggy style. Also drank pink grapefruit juice though don't know that did anything. Oh and spent lots of money on zinc, selenium, epo, a Toni Welcher book in the 2ww so never got much use!

Hope thats not tmi! Good luck to you all hope to see you all in antenatal soon!

I have just found out I'm pregnant and have to tell someone (DH was 1st to know of course). We'd only been trying 1 month but it only took 1 month last time (DD is 20 months). Think we "did it" 3 times around my "peak" with 1-2 rest days in between each attempt - we're both not that young anymore!. I have felt pregnant for the last few days (strong maternal feelings, queasiness), but tried not to get excited, and waited til today (period due date) to do tests. But I do have mixed feelings as my sister is having an exploratory op today to find out if there's a reason why she hasn't conceived after 2+ years of trying. I hope she gets the all-clear and can join me "in the club" soon.

Congratulations mrspf. Hope your sister gets the good news soon too

mrspf · 16/08/2006 23:07

Thanks DollyP.

The docs have reported that everything looks OK for my sister, so they will just have to keep trying. Fingers crossed.

After a week of excitement and anticipation about a new baby in the family, I started bleeding this morning. At first I thought the worst, then tried to be positive as I wasn't having pains. But now the bleeding is much heavier and I'm having period-like pains. So I think I will be joining the TTC after miscarriage thread soon...

Sexonlegs · 27/08/2006 20:53

Mrspf, really sorry to hear this.
Hope you are ok.

mrspf · 30/08/2006 06:59

Thanks for your concern, sexonlegs. I am sure my baby is gone, but won't know for sure until my scan on Thursday. I am coping OK- bleeding stopped on Monday and I'm back at work, and by reading other threads I've seen so many other people coping with loss, often at a late stage, which must be very heartbreaking. We are hopeful that we will conceive again soon, and hope the hospital won't say to wait 3 months!
