A year of trying

So ive only just joined on here, but I was in need of conversation with people in the same situation.
We've been trying to conceive for a year now, it is literally all ive ever wanted with my life and now this.
Ive been trying my hardest not to get depressed and my other half has been brilliant but every month of it not happening im getting worse and worse.
I was on the depo injection for 10 years and im so worried it has caused damage

I took depo for 2 years, tried for 2 years saw consultant.. Had tests etc, showing no ovulation, gave me clomid,nothing worked..after 3 years 3 months tried accupuncture, periods became regular - 3 months later fell pregnant! Good luck!!x

P.s.blueberry - I know it plays tricks.. Get the day 3 and also7 day after you think you ovulated test! Also get referred to check tubes etc! X

Blueberry - I want to echo a little bit what minxi just said above and also encourage you not to lose heart.

Have you tried acupuncture? I know it might sound silly but it worked for my friend (after TTCing for nearly 2 years) and it worked for me (after TTCing for 1 year) - I don't know how - but if you're willing to try, I definitely recommend giving it a go.

Im trying to concentrate on exercise at the moment maybe loosing a bit of weight might help.

My other half is brilliant but doesnt seem to get upset like I do. Im the same as you maybug I avoid talking to him about it as much as possible.

I had hoped that having an end game like this one might have been the focus I needed to lose weight but I'm not exactly doing well with that. I have a good couple of weeks and then af arrives and I go into binge eating mode!!

To also back up Mabel, two of my friends who had trouble had acupuncture and after years fell pg within months! Been debating going but better wait until basic tests done before I waste any money if it just isn't possible!

Acupuncture kinda creeps me out lol im not sure why but I guess its worth a try

UPDATE: so I had my second 21 day blood test on Thursday and it looks like im not ovulating im having another blood test tomorrow which will be day 27 to see if they had missed it by some small chance.

Im not sure what the next step will be but im worrying alot and crying alot.

Does any one have any advise about starting my body ovulating again.

My periods are generally on time give or take a day or two so I never once thought I might not be ovulating at all.

Day 21 tests are not always accurate. It really depends on when in your cycle you ovulate. If you have regular cycles, there is a chance you actually do ovulate, but maybe earlier or later than you think.

Get your GP to refer you to a specialist. You're entitled to it, since you've been trying for over a year and the day 21 test did not show ovulation. Really put your foot down! Fertility centres are so helpful, they know so much more than your GP. If your GP doesn't want to refer, see another one. Or make a private appointment with a fertility centre, who can then send a letter to your GP for a referral.

I will see what this second test comes out with tomorrow....but yeah I will ask my GP.

Im a little worried that the depo injection has messed me up forever.
