Blood tests!

We are ttc no.2 and I went for a day 21 blood test about 10 days ago. As well as AF turning up on Weds, I was also told by my GP surgery that the lab had cocked up the processing of my blood test- they separated the blood incorrectly or something! I was SO angry about it . I have 35+ day cycles so thats a long wait til next time. Also, I am probably going to be on holiday on 7dpo (in the UK) so I won't be able to get to my local hospital. Does anyone know if I could get a blood test done at a different hospital, nowhere near where I live?!

Cant you phone your gp and see if you will be able to have you bloods done in a hospital near were you will be staying and the see if they can send the results back to your gp? Theses days it's all done by computers anyway!
I don't think doctors realise how we feel about the whole baby thing TTC, You feel like your whole life has been put on hold, and either everyone has a bump or a new baby, I've been trying for 13mths now and off to the doctors on Monday and haven't got a clue what he's going to ask, tell or do, to me! I feel like the last 13mths should of been bliss but it's been hell!

Thanks babymad. I will definitely look into the 'holiday hospital' doing the test. Don't see why I should suffer for the lab's cock-up lol! I had a day 3 test yesterday and I'm dreading them messing up again.

I'm totally with you on the ttc game. I loathe and detest it and just want to be pregnant so normal life can resume! I know I'm not alone though. Good luck on Monday- I hope this is your month.
