Clomid side effects?

Just wondering if anyone has been on clomid before and what side effects have they had? I've heard so many stories and it's freaking me out!

I was very emotional, it was like exaggerated PMT and when I had periods they were very heavy but I did get pregnant on the third cycle and my now 4 and a half month old is currently sleeping in my arms.

I had two cycles of Clomid almost ten years ago to conceive ds1. I had hot flushed within an hour of taking the tablet. Really really hot flushes. That was it though - no other side effects that I can remember.

Clomid impacted me massively in terms of my emotional and mental wellbeing. I felt like I was losing it. Horrible.

I have heard of people going mad, oh god, ill give them a go anyway and see how i get on! Thankyou.

It was fine as soon as I stopped taking them after my 3 months and I got a BPF the very next month (now my lovely 10yo DD), but I wish the doctor had been clearer about the side effects. I thought that it was me that was the problem and the sense of relief when I put 2 and 2 together and realised it was the drugs. Hopefully you will be forewarned and will be able to be kind and gentle on yourself while you are using it.

I'm at the hospital today at 4.00 to get them, so I'll make sure their clear with me what to expect while I'm on them and hopefully I'll get a BFP soon if all goes well. Thankyou I'll keep you posted x

When I took the pills at night...no side effects! I slept through them which was advised. I took 1 cycle in the morning and had hot flushes and constipation! Good luck!
