DTD everyday??

Hi all,

I'm due to ovulate I think either Friday or Saturday, so i was wondering if we could DTD everyday until then starting tonight to give us the best possible chance.

Some websites seems to say it is fine, but others say it can deplete the sperm? Can anyone shed any light please?

I think every other day is recommended.

Thanks for the reply, can others confirm this, i want to have the best chance but not if everyday will have an adverse effect.

Another suggesting every other day.
And start earlier, and carry on longer than you think.

ie wed / fri / sun / tues would be my suggestion.

I'd do every other day until Thurs then everyday til sunday and then back to every other day. A bit like SMEP.

Yep, I would do tomorrow, tues, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday.

I second what Treacle says...you may suffer burn out otherwise!

It's better to DTD prior to OV due to how long the egg lives and how long the sperm has to be in you before it's able to successfully fertilise an egg.

I think it's best to do what you can stick to all month as predicting ovulation is a bit of an inexact science. Then you're covered :)

I've spent hours this morning looking to see how often is best (its mine and DH first official month TTC). Apparently EOD is ideal, but as long as ur partner is healthy and doesn't have any issues with his sperm, its not a problem to DTD everyday without risking lowering his sperm count. I concieved my second month of ttc and we dtd almost every other day or once every 3 days around the week of conception. Sperm can live up to 5 days so having some a few days before ov they will be waiting in the tubes for the egg, every other day makes sure there is a steady supple of healthy energetic sperm good luck get dtd
