Is it too early to test 6 days before period is due

I am a very impatient person and I cannot wait to see if I am pregnant . I bought about 3 packets of first response tests. Started testing today got a negative my period is due on the 8th march 6 daya from now am I too early to test. I ovulated last Tuesday and Wednesday used the fertility sticks. We had sex every day for about a week. Is it an old wife's tale that too much sex can slow down sperm.

It's probably just too early to test - following ovulation it can take 9-12 days for a fertilised egg to actually implant in your womb and then another 2-3 days for the pregnancy hormone to register on tests.

some women do get very faint lines very early after ovulation, I think the earliest I have seen is 8dpo, but it is rare.

I was addicted to POAS and started testing from 7dpo sometimes 2 or 3 times a day but I didn't actually get my BFP until 15dpo which is actually the day my period was due anyway.

I think most tales about sperm are old wives tales - for every bit of research that says don't have sex every day you'll find another piece of research that says sex every day is best. Just do what feels right for you and good luck!!!!

It's so frustrating I know but try to wait-even if only to save yourself a few quid!
I didnt get a BFP until the day after AF was due-I had tested 24hours previously and got a BFN-not even a faint line
Good luck!

For maximum affect I would wait 5 or 6 days after the period is due. This means that it will definitely be picked up unless you have a dodgy test.

I am also due on 8th March, gonna try and wait before I test but its a very persistent thought I keep having to want to test. Am not expecting a bfp as only recently started TTC. Good luck though ladies hopefully we will see some good news soon.
