Second day of af and keep checking the boards but don't feel like I fit in anywhere at the moment or have anything to say with two weeks till I ovulate! Anyone else in the same boat?? Really hope this is our month even though it's only our 2nd ttc. Going to get conception vits for me and other half and also try an ovulation pack so looking forward to getting to grip with those.

lindamagoo · 13/03/2014 19:17

Aw MrsB I'm sorry to see you over here, but honestly you don't need to stay quiet, we will help you through it. Oh came home from work tonight and I'm half pissed, my bestie came round with loads of wine, might start the marathon tonight, lol Smile

lindamagoo · 13/03/2014 19:18

Feeling guilty though as I'm all loved up and ready to make babies and she's away home to dump her man Hmm

ChaircatMiaow · 13/03/2014 20:44

Don't feel bad Linda, it's just your time for this. Your bestie will meet someone new and fabulous and then before you know it, it will be her time Smile

ChaircatMiaow · 13/03/2014 20:55

So I've realised my fertility app was completely wrong!! From the three other fertility calculators I've done, including fertility friend, I'm actually not fertile til next week, ovulating next wed.

Obviously I really just want to get pregnant and have a healthy baby BUT if we were to just DTD on Sunday night, would that increase our chance of having a girl?

So much for just 'having a go' this month! Ha!

lindamagoo · 13/03/2014 21:07

Chaircat I'm trying to figure out the same thing, when to have our last dtd session to optimise our chance of a girl, I'm feeling outnumbered in my house, need a wee dash of pink here, lol x

lindamagoo · 14/03/2014 08:06

Can't believe my bad luck!!! Kids are going away today and I've woke up feeling really poorly Hmm I don't care how ill I get I will be sticking to my weekend sex plan...

RPopz · 14/03/2014 08:41

:-( It might help Linda... I had a killer migraine on Sat and dtd cured it! ;-)

lindamagoo · 14/03/2014 08:43

RPopz I hope so, between the sex and bucket full of wine I plan on consuming I should be fine Smile

bellaboo88 · 14/03/2014 08:53

Lucky ladies, you need to give me your secrets to getting a rock on my finger. I'm happy, we've been together two n a half years, he wants a fancy wedding but seems he's never gunna propose!

I used to be more fussed about living together but hate thought of kids having different name :-(

I had a bad cycle last, dp was I'll...only did it once :-( xx

RPopz · 14/03/2014 09:11

Have you tried relentless nagging bella?!

Haha seriously though, I think sometimes you just have to accept they'll do it in their own time. As long as you've put it out there that its what you want. DH and I were together 7 years before he proposed! It was our first wedding anniversary a couple of weekends ago :-)

I think wanting to have the same name as your kids is a pretty valid argument though, have you told him that? Might help speed him along ;-) Plus if he wants a fancy wedding you might struggle to afford it or have the time to organise it when the baby is here ;-) x

Fergie11 · 14/03/2014 09:25

Hey Bella, I used to say that if we had a child without being married then the child would have my surname. There was no way I would not have the same name as my baby. DH didn't like that but he knew I'd be true to my word!!

MelMc73 · 14/03/2014 10:10

Hi everyone. I'm fairly new to these boards so just saying hello on this thread as this is our first month of TTC. I'm 41 so not too hopeful that it will happen this time but my cycle seems to be back to normal now after being on the pill. My chart said I should be ovulating tomorrow and I have definitely got symptoms - stomach cramps have been increasing this week and a bit of nausea at the beginning of the week. Not gone down the route of OPK's or temperature charting yet but if it's BFN at end of March then I might consider it! Nice to meet you all Smile

lindamagoo · 14/03/2014 10:14

Welcome Mel, this is my first month ttc #3 and I'm almost 43, fingers crossed it happens for us x

sebsmummy1 · 14/03/2014 10:23

I am 39 (just) with one successful pregnancy under my belt at 37 and one miscarriage in February at 38.

lindamagoo · 14/03/2014 10:25

I've had 2 successful pregnancies, first ds was born when I was 38 and second ds born when I was 40 so there's defo hope for another x

lindamagoo · 14/03/2014 10:26

Sorry to hear about your mc seb Hmm

MelMc73 · 14/03/2014 10:28

This is all very positive for me then lindamagoo!

DrewsWife · 14/03/2014 10:32

Sore boobs!!!! Sore boooooobs!!!!!

sebsmummy1 · 14/03/2014 10:35

Ha ha drew, how many dpo are you?

I'm ok Linda, feel ok about it now as I'm back in my regular cycles again. The WTF cycles straight afterwards though was horrendous.

lindamagoo · 14/03/2014 10:48

Mel will this be your first baby?

lindamagoo · 14/03/2014 10:49

Drew when do you plan on testing? Your af if is due on the 18th isn't it?

MelMc73 · 14/03/2014 10:57

This will be my second baby - my first is 7 1/2 years old (boy) - but that was from a previous relationship. My hubby also has a 20 year old son from his first marriage (he was very young!). When we got married we decided not to bother with anymore but have had a change of heart recently! Hope its not too late.....if it happens then fabby but if not.....well at least we tried. My AF is due on 29th March so I'm going to try to hold off until then!! What tests does everyone use?
